The other day Hadley came home from school a little bit upset. She said that all her friends were talking about their elves and she was scared that Aiden forgot to come back. I assured her that maybe he didn't need to be here so early because she had been really good and hopefully he would come back in a few days.Thankfully, on December 1st he came back for the second year with breakfast for the kids. This time he brought snowman donuts, reindeer donuts, and he even brought back some frozen hot chocolate. Hadley was so excited when she came down the stairs to see he had prepared the table for all of us to eat!
Aiden wrote each of the kids a letter again this year. Hadley was beside herself.
Hadley was too excited to even eat (typically, Hadley would beg for some powdered sugar donuts). She just stared up at Aiden and kept telling him thank you for the breakfast.
I played with a little photo editing software and came up with this. It may be one of my all time favorites!
Hudson was a little less interested in Aiden and was more excited about the donuts on a stick. He may have eaten his body weight in donuts.
Hadley showed Hudson his letter and he was pretty excited to see what Hudson had to say to him, as well.
Sipping on some frozen hot chocolate...
Getting a closer look at Aiden...
This is just the sweetest picture. I love to see her so happy! She was smiling all day and kept going back to look at him and tell him hi.
After breakfast Daddy read the Elf on the Shelf book to the kids to remind them that Aiden cannot be touched or he may lose his magic.
Our second North Pole Breakfast was wonderful and we are so thankful that Aiden is back to hang out with us for another month!
