First day of school

Its going to be a great school year. The kids couldn't be more excited! They have great friends in their classes and they love their teachers. It was so weird to drop them off at 2 different buildings today and definitely brought a few tears...for me...not them. I was so anxious to hear how their first day was and I was greeted with "it was the best day ever!" Success!

Meet the Teacher and Frontier City

Meet the teacher is always such an anticipated day in our house. It so much fun to get to the school, see your new classroom, and especially see your friends. This year was a little different with Hadley being in middle school and having several teachers to meet. She pretty much did her own thing! I took off in the morning so that I could go with them and then met the babysitter at home for her to watch them in the afternoon. She ended up planning a fun day with her friend to take them to Frontier City. Such a great way to end our summer!

July pictures

They wanted to get a snocone by themselves. I got to sit in the car and watch...and wonder how they are growing so fast.

This kid plays hard! These are the bruises left over from his time at Kanakuk. What in the world?

And now for a lot of toothless smile pics. We have a new tooth popping through so I know our time is limited. I'm sure he's getting a little tired of me asking him to smile!

More lake pics....

Hadley LOVES taking care of Gunner and babying him. I don't think he minds it either.

Our sweet neighbor, Olivia, came over and wanted to watch a movie with Hudson. He was sweet to let her curl up beside him.

Entering middle school means two exciting things....no more walking in single file lines and LOCKERS! We got to go up to school a couple times this summer to practice her combination and get her locker decorated. So exciting!

Swimming with friends at home, and neighborhood friends at the pool. I love those last couple pics because Hadley has become the neighborhood babysitter. Little kids totally gravitate to her and she loves it. She spent the whole afternoon holding and playing with all the little ones!

Hudson asked for a nerf gun fight and insisted on some war paint as well. He did his own with a dry erase marker and he looks pretty tough to me!

Some pics from Life Church's "At the movies." Although we don't go to Life anymore we still like going back in July for the movie themes and messages. The kids always have so much fun as well.

Hudson had a sleepover with Will after service today and Sarah sent me some cute pics from Top Golf.

And while Hudson went with Will, Hadley had a sleepover with Holland and Brooklyn at our house. The next day they went to Brooklyns to swim.

Ms. Mehlhaff is moving to South Carolina and we are all pretty sad about it. We were thrilled to get to take her to one last lunch before she leaves. Hadley was excited to now have a phone and get to exchange phone numbers. She is so loved and we will miss seeing her around the school!!

We hosted a football party at our house for the first practice. Lots of siblings too so the first two pics are of our pool, then the boys finding their way to the movie room for fortnite,  and the last one is the aftermath of the playroom. It was totally picked up and organized before everyone came over!

Hadley playing at the neighbors in their Unicorn sprinkler.

A couple funny pics of the dogs. Bauer lays like this all the time and it always makes me laugh. And i thinks its precious seeing them lay side by side in their beds!
