The bride and a dinosaur

We had such a great Halloween this year.  Both kids are now old enough to go up to doors and ask for candy by themselves (with us standing nearby) and the weather was perfect. The kids had so much fun running from house to house and gathering as much candy as they could. Rose Creek knows how to do it right for Halloween. Golf carts tote all the trick-or-treaters around and the majority of houses go all out with treats for the kids and decorations.

Going back a couple weeks...this is when I brought home Hudson's dinosaur costume. The first costume I ordered was too small but he seemed to like this one better anyway. He didn't want me to take his picture but I captured this pretty cute one of him looking at himself in the mirror.

Jase and Lexi had a halloween party for their 9th birthday. Hadley couldn't wait to get all dressed up for the party and even gladly posed for a whole bunch of pictures for me! I am so in love with this costume. She looked so sweet in her bride costume and it only seemed to scare daddy just a little bit...

At the party. Hudson did NOT want to wear his costume (surprise, surprise) and insisted on only wearing his halloween shirt instead.  Jase and Lexi had many carnival style games at their party and the kids had a blast getting even more candy a week before halloween night.

Decorating her pumpkin.

Halloween night. All dressed up and waiting for everyone to get here. Hadley was more than willing to let me take a "few" more pictures. I just couldn't stop...

This picture makes me laugh because it looks like a real wedding photo. She was actually looking at me and the wind caught her veil so, no, it actually wasn't posed this way.

Ryan and his family, Erin and her family, and Mama and Papa came over for pizza and drinks before heading out to trick-or-treat. It is so much fun to all go out as a family and a tradition we hope to keep going over the next several years.

Peyton, the movie star, and Hadley. They loved being silly as a snapped away.

Buck, the little convict.

After much convincing, Hudson finally put on his costume...and only because he was told he would NOT get any candy if he didn't participate. It only took a few minutes for him to snap out of his pout and he was ready to go! It is very rare for me to get a picture of these two together and smiling (typically because Hudson likes to be a little difficult with a camera in front of him) so I was really excited to get these cute ones:

Cutest dinosaur I ever did see!

Most of the gang before heading out.  Jase was a minecraft character and Lexi was a bunny.

Hadley was not sure what to think about the scary man on the porch of the first house. She decided it would be ok to stand back on this one until Daddy went with her.

Such a big boy asking for candy all by himself.

Even Buck got the hang of it this year.

That is a loaded down golf cart!

Our two on my favorite Halloween ever.  I know we don't get many more years of this and this night could not have been any more perfect!
