September pics

September was a great start to fall, we were in the swing of things with both kids in full-time school, two birthdays, and lots of time outside.

Hudson got a kit for his birthday where he could chisel away at "stone" to search for "gold." He was over the moon excited each time he discovered another piece. And safety always comes first because he loved wearing his safety googles during his exploration!

Hadley lined up and ready to cheer at halftime with the other kids in the lower school. Also, a couple pictures of Hadley with Bauer and Hadley riding in the jeep.

Will had Hudson spend the night and Hadley was a little bit excited about her night with us by herself. She even turned down a sleepover to stay at home which kinda made my day! Sarah sent me a couple pictures of Hudson and Will watching movies in bed and playing on their fort.

Hadley had planned out a fun night for us including dinner and a makeover for mommy. She did all my make-up and minus the winged eyeliner I really loved how it turned out. I was pretty impressed!

The next morning I got a couple more pictures of the boys watching more movies and putting away some pancakes. Hadley enjoyed sleeping with us with plans of sleeping in....though she was about at her typical 6:30am.

At Hudson's soccer game and Hadley was excited to see Reese there...on Reese's birthday. Jessica sent me a picture from Reese's birthday blessing the next day. I love seeing my girl smiling in class with friends.

I went on a little girls trip to Tulsa and daddy had the kids for the night. I got a cute picture of Hadley and a pic of Hudson with friends at the homecoming foodtruck celebration.

Just ANOTHER picture of Hudson and his best friend!

We were thankful Will got to join us again for "bring a friend week" at karate. Hudson always loves having will come to class with him.

A few random pictures of the Hadley, the kids sleeping together, and Hudson playing soccer!

Clara took Hadley to the OSU game with her. I was a little nervous since this is the first time Hadley would sit in the actual stands but Hadley said she LOVED it!

Hadley absolutely loves to play "family," school, house, babysitter, teacher more than any kid I have ever seen! She will come home from school and the very first thing she does is grab her dolls and start playing. If a friend is over they are either the mom, the kid, etc and they pretend play the entire time. Lately, Hadley has been immediately changing, setting up her dolls, and preparing teacher lessons for them. In these pics she is reading the Bible to them and having Bible class. She will make roll sheets, lunch menus, and practice handwriting with them. I LOVE to watch her imagination go!

A couple last pictures of our new 6 year old! Goodness, hes growing up SO fast!!!

Starz Auditions

Hadley decided she wanted to do competition dance again. We kind-of sat on the idea all summer to make sure she really did want to commit more time since its all year long. But I really don't think she ever wavered from the idea. And I was easily convinced for one reason....Hadley does not have a single friend (or close friend) with her this year. Lottie moved up into a different level and though Hadley was asked to she wasn't quite ready. She understood that doing so would require her to give up something else (basketball, softball, tumbling) and she isn't ready for that. So she decided to stay down in this competition group on her own. She was so excited to go to tryouts, meet new friends, and learn new dances. It may have been the most proud of her that I have ever been. I love that she made her own decisions and was so confident with them and herself.

She did great at try outs. We left them there for a while to learn dances and show the instructors what they could do. After practicing for a while the parents were able to come back and watch their audition as well as join for pizza and celebrating. They were each given awards and got fitted for their new company jackets and tank tops. The ivviva crew came to the studio and did a team building exercise with them that was really fun as well. Hadley had a great night and I just smiled the whole time watching her as she made new friends. I'm so very proud of her!

The new Starz team of 2016-2017. So excited to watch these girls dance again this year!

Hadley's trip with Mama and Papa and some special time with Hudson

Mama and Papa planned a trip to Dallas to take Peyton and Hadley to the American Girl Store. Hadley has become pretty crazy about her American Girls and was over-the-moon excited about going! She was willling to atake every penny out of her piggy bank but we finally convinced her into only taking $75. Mama and Papa left with the girls after school on Friday and they drove down to Dallas. They went ice skating and out to eat that evening at the Galleria and then called it a night. Saturday they spent the morning at the store, then ate lunch in the bistro, and then headed back home that evening. They had such a good time. I think the girls were excited to spend some time together and Mama and Papa were excited to spend a little time with the oldest two grandkids.

We spent lots of time doing some boy stuff with Hudson. Nerf gun wars outside on the driveway, cuddling up and watching movies on the couch, and playing some board games. Hudson and I even had a breakfast date at the coffee shop while daddy slept in on Saturday morning.

We were excited to see Hadley when she got back home. She seemed to get pretty spoiled and sure came home with a lot of new goodies for her dolls. She was quick to take them upstairs and get them all set up. Hudson had even missed her sister and gladly went upstairs to help!
