The end of a busy month

I feel like I couldn't even keep up with the blog this month. I am not sure if we are just all getting busier and the kids are zapping me of all energy but I spent many late nights trying to make up for the late blog posts. Anyway, I got it done and am finally all caught up...almost. Here are some pictures of the fun we have been having from our random iPhone photos:

Daddy is such a better jungle gym than the playset in the backyard:

Daddy took Hadley with him to a basketball game and she loved it! And by "loved it" I mean that she loved watching the cheerleaders and pom girls. As long as there are cheerleaders at the games, Daddy will always have a buddy to travel with him to Stillwater...

While Hadley and Daddy were at the basketball game, Hudson and I went to Soccer City for their carnival. We played on bounce houses, saw the Easter bunny, watched kids get their faces painted (because he wouldn't do it), and got lots of snacks. We had a lot of fun together.

Kingston's first birthday party. Hadley was so sweet and loved helping take care of all the little kids and Hudson has turned a corner and was so much fun. He is slowly venturing off from us and feels more comfortable to go off and play with the other kids.

Ryan came over to mow our yard while Matt was working and he brought Buck so that he could play with the kids. Hadley loved having a baby in the house and wanted to help me take care of him the entire time. She was such a big help feeding him and even getting him dressed.

Hudson thinks he needs to help daddy coach Hadley's t-ball practices...

As if school isn't enough to wear a kid out, we decided to stop by the park and play for a little bit after I picked up the kids. We climbed trees, crossed the monkey bars, and relaxed on the swings. Mama and Papa even brought Peyton out to play as well.

It's only March and already to hot for Bauer? He had to take cover from the sun for a little bit.

Daddy's helper thinks it is time he can mow the yard by himself. I am sure daddy has to be a little bit excited for that day!

Hadley went to Legend's ballet birthday party and it was so sweet to see the little girls learn a dance routine and then perform it for us. Hadley is the one in the black leotard and the only one listening. She was trying so hard to do it perfectly!

He wasn't too thrilled about me taking his picture but I had to document that about half the nights I put Hudson in bed he insists on wearing his shoes. And he is very particular about which ones. He goes into his closet and picks exactly what he wants. This time it was only his sperry's but we have spent many nights in his soccer cleats as well. Surprisingly, he sleeps just as well in them and they are always on in the morning.

Trying to tie his shoe like his big sis!

I was taking a bath and Hadley came downstairs for the morning after waking up. She is always in the greatest mood in the mornings.  I wish my hair looked this pretty when I crawled right out of bed!

Hadley is the sweetest "little mommy." She is always wanting to take care of her babies and even loves to take care of Hudson. She will put on his shoes, help him get dressed, get his milk for him in the morning, and pretty much cater to his every need. After getting ready for soccer she told me she was going to sit outside. When I looked out there she was rocking her baby and singing her baby songs.

The girls loved our Orange Leaf date. It was so funny to see them want to sit at a table all by themselves and have a "grown up" conversation.

Sweet kids before bedtime. Hudson wanted to lay on Hadley's nap and watch a quick movie while Matt and I got everything ready for bed.

Uncle John has an amazing train set in his attic that he has collected for years. Hudson has a love of trains and we knew he would LOVE to see it. We have waited for a while because we knew for the longest time that he would not understand that he couldn't play with the trains. So we finally called John and asked if we could come watch him work his trains. Hudson and Hadley loved them and Hudson would have probably watched them all day!

The horns were SO loud!

Ever since Hadley learned how to tie her own shoes, Hudson has been itching to learn as well. He will entertain himself for the longest time as he tries and tries to get them tied. It actually turns into a bunch of knots but he is still so pleased with himself in the end.

Hadley typically tries to jump in and teach him.

Hadley's Easter celebration at school. A few of these girls will be going to other schools for Kindergarten and we will miss them so much! Hadley has made some really great friends...

Easter Day

HAPPY EASTER...CHRIST IS RISEN!!!

We woke up early to start another day full of fun with family. The Easter bunny came to our house while we slept and left the kids a lot of toys and some money. We were thankful he was a little light on the candy this year!

Hudson was still asleep and Hadley was getting antsy so we let her go ahead and dig into her basket.

So excited to open an egg full of coins!

Hudson is finally awake and NOT in the mood for pictures! He loved his toys but this is the only picture I got the entire time because he just kept telling me "NO!"

Hudson still wasn't having any pictures so our attempt at getting a picture of the two kids together didn't happen. I had to jump in the picture as well just to get a picture at all.

Waiting for Peyton and Buck to get to the church...

And finally ready to pose. The second Ryan walked in the door Hudson's attitude changed and he was excited to take a picture with Ryan and Buck.

Peyton and Hadley

I love him wrapping his arm around her neck. She is so sweet and patient with him and he can be pretty darn sweet to her too. It is amazing how much he looks up to Hadley and wants to mimic everything she does!

A picture for Mama and Papa of their four grandkids....and one on the way.

After chuch we met Lolly, Pops, E, and Tim at the Petroleum Club for an Easter lunch. Because our service ended a little earlier than theirs we got to the restaurant with some time to run around and play before our reservations. Hadley was thrilled to see another Easter bunny and Hudson was unsure once again. He wanted to have the bunny in his sight at all times and even wave from afar but he was not going to get close!

Pointing out the bunny to me.

Candy makes  it all worth the risk of getting close to the Easter bunny. Still no way we would get a picture but we did at least get a smile and a "tank oooo" (thank you)

Hadley looks upset here but I don't think she was. I am pretty sure she was just tired of me telling her to smile and put her arm around her brother.

E tried to take a family picture for us but you can see that one child didn't quite make it into the pictures.
Looking closely you can see him hidden behing Hadley's legs.

Such a big boy sitting at the table and drinking from a big glass.

After lunch I took the kids back outside so the others could enjoy the remainder of their lunch. The kids can just only be good, still, and quiet for so long!

Such an enjoyable morning and lunch. We feel so lucky to have both sides of our family in town so we can see them both for all holidays. We had a great Easter with wonderful weather and were excited to go home, relax, and spend some time together for the rest of the day.
