End of December

Finishing up the year with some pictures. These are from reading with the kids, school, work parties, pictures of our Christmas tree (which was my favorite we've ever had this year!)

We've done lots of relaxing by the fire and enjoying some family time this month.

A few warm weather days took Hudson and me outside while Hadley was at school. Hudson hasn't forgotten how much fun his bike is and is getting excited about taking off those training wheels!

Looking at Christmas lights...

Every Monday Hudson goes with me to a work out class and usually jumps in for some of the stretching. All the women love to cheer him on!

Ryan took Hadley for a day over Christmas Break. He pampered the girls with whatever they wanted..including manicures and pedicures!

Hudson practiced his letter writing skills while Hadley wrote Christmas cards for her teachers at school.

Each Christmas a realtor in the city picks her 10 favorite decorated houses. This year our house was picked on day 6. It was so exciting to see our house featured. I would have missed it had another friend not called me and told me to look it up. So fun!

Ending with a cute slumber party picture of Hadley and Charlotte asleep in bed. Precious girls!

Extended family Christmas...

We had a couple more Christmas celebrations the weekend after Christmas. On Saturday, Hadley and I went over to Lolly and Pops house so she could play with Abby and Katie in the snow and with their new toys. After spending the day with them we went home to get ready for the Hollomans extended family Christmas at Erin's house. We had more than enough food and had lots of fun visiting. The kids were like a tornado running through E's house but they sure had a blast playing together.

On Sunday we drove to Shawnee for Christmas at Jody's house. It was another fun, but laid back get-together. It was a fairly nice day and the kids were able to play outside a bit but best of all, there was a new puppy to play with... and a boxer one at that! Chad and Melissa got the cutest little brindle boxer and we all took turns passing her around. I fell in love! Its a good thing we already have two dogs or we may have ended up with another one!

Jody, once again, spoiled the kids with too much! She is so generous and we are thankful to have such a wonderful aunt that treats us all as her own children. It was a hard Christmas to not have Grandma here but we know her Christmas was even better than ours!

Adams Family Christmas

We were all excited the day after Christmas to wake up, play with our new toys, and get ready for another Christmas celebration...this time at Mama and Papa's house.

Mama bought Hadley and Peyton some new Christmas shirts and they were pretty proud to wear them in a picture.

Cute picture of Papa and his buddy, Gunner. And then, of course, a picture of the two boys that are sure to cause some trouble in the future together!

One of my favorite traditions at Christmas...Playing left-right-center. And now that the kids are getting old enough to play its becoming even more fun. By the end of the game we are all screaming and cheering and having the best time. Hudson was hilarious as he blew on the dice each time before rolling them. I would love to know where he had learned that! Hadley got so close to winning this year but lost to Mama, who then felt bad and split all her winnings between the grandkids. Lucky kids!

*The last picture of Hudson and Gunner makes me laugh every time I look at it! Gunners face is just priceless.

Time for presents and the kids could hardly wait! Hudson got lots of batman stuff including a lego set from Mama and Papa and a bank and cape from Ryan's family. He also loved his remote control dinosaur. It was just too overwhelming to not be able to tear into everything right then!

Hadley got some American girl pajamas, lots of arts and crafts stuff, and for the big finale...a krazy kart. Its basically a go-kart that sits really close to the ground and does some fast 360's. Both Hadley and Peyton got one and were more than excited to try them out (even if it was only 40 degrees!)

Matt and I got spoiled with some gift cards and lots of stocking gifts. I got a kindle which I am really excited about! We had such a fun day with family and its always sad when the big celebrations are over. We are so thankful to have both families living close and that we get so spend so much time with each!
