November pics

Gingerbread making with Susan. We know our time with her is ending soon as baby Ford is due in a few weeks and we are so very sad about it. We have been blessed by so many great sitters but Susan has been such a huge blessing. When it would have been impossible to find someone to watch the kids for just a couple hours a day, she stepped in and begged to help. She has activities for the kids each Tuesday and is so much fun for them. She has homework done when I get home from work, the counter all clean, and the kids are always ready to show me a new craft. We are so thankful for her!

A couple pictures of the kids....Hadley reading to Hudson on the couch and the kids before their "red, white, and blue" day at school.

Matt sent me a text one day when I was on my way home from work and asked if I knew whose dog this was. Someone had put him in our backyard. He looked exactly like the Daniels dog so I called Jessica who said Cooper was sitting right next to her.  We finally tracked down the owner and it turns out another neighbor had put the dog in our yard thinking it was Bauer. Bauer had such a fun playdate for the afternoon....Bentley, on the other hand, stayed far away and was a little annoyed!

These lazy dogs have taken over our couch! With new furniture coming soon, I hope they enjoy being so comfy, because its coming to an end....if I can actually hold out.

Davis came in town with Drew for an OU football game and was here for the weekend. While they were here Lolly and Pops got them tickets to the Thunder game and Matt and Hudson were invited along as well. Hudson had so much fun at the game and the boys loved the kids zone. Matt took a few pictures of them playing basketball together.

While the boys were at the game, Abby was in town and we got to have her spend the night and spend some time with Hadley. The girls had a great time and it was fun to have some one on one time with Abby.

We are doing lots of reading in this house! With Hadley's AR goal raising each 9 weeks, she is having to read a lot more. Though its still not her choice of things to do, she never complains when I remind her she needs to read. Thankfully, she still likes me to come read with her because I love our times of laying in bed together and me getting to watch her reading harder and harder books!

Remodeling has been pretty fun! And its even more fun when we come home to a front porch full of new light fixtures. Can't wait to have them hung!

Hudson's class learning all about pilgrims.

They sure spend a lot of time fighting lately but when they have no one else to play with they can be the best of friends. They spend lots of time playing "family" and Hudson is often the baby. Poor Hadley would be the best big sister to a little baby! They also love to play board games, do crafts, and occasionally Hadley can be talked into playing some sort of fighting game with Hadley.

When they aren't playing with each other they usually are always wanting to play with a friend. Here is Hudson and Will having a play date at our house and Hadley and Lottie taking a bubble bath at Lotties house.

Some favorite pics this month of Hudson and Bauer cuddling on the couch, Hudson saying his nighttime prayers,  the boys cuddling on the couch and watching a movie, and daddy and Hadley at the movie theater. This is our every day life. I love it!

And finally, a few more pics. Bauer is loving our new cowhide and still loving the couch. Not for long! Hopefully, I will have finished pictures of the house soon!

Thanksgiving

I sure didnt come through with pictures this Thanksgiving! It was kindof a whirlwind with family in town, two dinners, and the house remodeling has us thrown for a loop. But it was still a great time with family. We celebrated with Mama and Papa and Ryans family on Wednesday night. We had the normal yummy Thanksgiving spread and the kids played all night. On Thursday we went to the Fischers house again for dinner with most of the Holloman family. Everyone brings a dish and there is plenty to choose from. Before heading over I took a couple pictures of the kids and after getting home to look at them I realized Hadley looked like a teenager!! That picture of her and Hudson in the chair together made me do a double take. And precious Hudson all dressed up....so handsome!

Wedding fun

Matt's cousin, Robert, got married and it turned into a weekend of celebrating. The wedding was held at Cole's Garden and although it was a little chilly, it was so pretty. The kids danced and danced at the reception and had fun with their cousins! The next day we ate at Charlestons with the whole family. So much fun!

Peyton's birthday weekend at Great Wolf

Peyton celebrated her 11th birthday at Great Wolf Lodge and got to invite three friends. She decided on her two best friends and Hadley. Mama and Papa were going to help and then Ryan and Lisa asked us to go. Hudson was so excited! We stopped at my new favorite, Taco Casa, and had lunch on our way. The boys decided on McDonalds instead as seen in the pic.

When we got to Great Wolf it only took minutes for the kids to change into swimsuits and head down to the pool. They had so much fun. Its amazing that in the short couple years since we have been Hudson is now tall enough to ride all but one slide and he has absolutely no fear!  Of course he loved us riding the rides with him but he needed no encouragement and had the time of his life. Its all just going way to fast!! Hadley didn't seem to need us either! She followed right along with the bigger girls and fit right in. They were all so sweet to her and included her so well. We had them check in every so often but they pretty much just did their own thing.

After a full day of swimming they had a dance party and story time in the lobby, the kids played in the arcade, and celebrated Peyton's birthday in the hotel room with cake and Pizza.

The next morning the kids were up early and ready to go swim some more. We swam until about 2pm and then packed up to head home. It was such a fun, short trip. We needed a little time away after a good start to the school year. Happy 11th birthday, Peyton!
