October Pictures

Hudson is really starting to love soccer....or I should probably rephrase that he doesn't mind the early morning games this year. Some mornings have definitely been cold but this kiddo hustles and only gets frustrated if he doesn't score a goal. He has scored in several games though which has completely boosted his confidence. Here are some pics before a game inside the gym and just looking cute in his uniform! Finally, a team shot with all his buddies and coaches. This is such a sweet, fun group of boys.

Hadley and Hudson helped me pick paint colors for our house by painting some cardboard boxes for me. They loved helping!

I know I have several pictures of Hadley in this shirt (because its chosen to be worn often) but it's starting to get small and I wanted to just make note of it. She LOVES this shirt and I love that its exactly Hadley's take on life. Every day is a great day in her eyes. She is such a joyful, happy kid. The next pic is our fun pedicure date to get ready for our beach trip! And the final picture is of Hadley with her board of bows. The kids were told in class that they had to find a

Hudson and Daddy watching football on the patio and Hudson picking out a toy for his friend's birthday. I love both of these pictures and the fact that 1. Hudson is starting to love to watch sports with his daddy 2. we still have great weather 3.  Hudson is now understanding that we can buy is friends a present without having to get a toy himself. It helps me because he knows exactly what his friends would love!

On our way to Holland and Oscar's birthday party at the movie theater.

A picture of the girls before family pictures!

Hudson used a gift card he had to buy another discovery toy. He had found all his "gold" and wanted to look for something else. This time we got one where he looked for bones! He spent all day chiseling away.

Hudson was more than thrilled to be student of the week this week. He got to make an "all about me" poster and show it to the class. He also got to take several items for show and tell.

After Pumpkinville (a patch at the Myriad Gardens) ended they sold all their pumpkins for $1 each! I loaded up the back of my car and was able to get $25 worth of pumpkins to put out in our flower beds and on the porch.

Hadley reading while Hudson did Karate, cuddling with her brother, and all smiles at lunch. I LOVE that Hadley still wants me to come eat lunch with her. In fact, she hangs out with me more when I go up there now than she ever has. So many of her friends just want their moms to drop off lunch in the office so I definitely cherish this time that she wants me around!

Erin and Lolly took Hadley to their Church Halloween function on Wednesday night. She wanted to dress up in something different than her Rey costume for Halloween night so she dressed up as a movie star (Peyton's old costume). So pretty!!!

Hudson got his long awaited Orange belt. He was so incredibly excited to text and his discipline and focus (the two main things they work on) was so wonderful. He had his best test yet and we are so proud of him and the fact that he has done this now for 2 years without wavering.

Hadley is always up for running some errands with me. We stopped by Urban Farmhouse to get some furniture ideas for the house and they had this little set up of pumpkins. Although we weren't dressed for fall pics I still talked her into taking a picture for me.

I love our neighborhood Halloween carnival each year. Its pretty chaotic but they sure do a great job. They have a petting zoo, games, food trucks, a hay ride, and a pumpkin patch. The kids always have such a good time!

Halloween

Such a fun Halloween night with perfect weather. Maybe the best weather we have had in years. Hadley and Hudson decided to match again this year, this time as Star Wars characters. Hudson was  jedi knight and Hadley was Rey. They begged and begged me to be princess Leia and I finally gave in on Halloween day after finding a costume on sale. As usual, all the family came down to our house for pizza and pictures before heading out in the neighborhood. This time Erins family had another commitment so we missed out on having them here but we at least were able to meet up with them in the neighborhood. Here are some pictures of the kids before we went out for trick or treating...

We had a great night. The kids are pros by now and are able to do so much on their own while we just watch them run from house to house. One of the houses had several Thunder players and they set up a really scary haunted tent that most kids wouldn't even go in. Hadley and Hudson braved it and though Hadley came out white as a sheet, Hudson came out saying he wasn't even scared. Not sure I believe that since I was able to hear him screaming from outside the tent! And I think it also helped that they had their daddy with them....I, for sure, wasn't going in there!
