August Extras

Relaxing a lot with my baby girl before she leaves us for kindergarten. I can't get enough of her right now! Even Bauer seems like he is going to miss her. The mark on Hadley's cheek is from a temporary tattoo that she tried to get off herself by scrubbing with water. She had this mark for a couple weeks and I was terrified it was going to leave a nasty scar but thankfully went away just fine.

Not the safest way to ride in a car but I thought it was so cute to look back and see Hadley asleep and Hudson laying in her lap.

While driving by I had to take a picture of how much our begonias took off this year. They were so pretty without having to endure many 100 degree days.

Milkshake mustache....

Looking so bored in Hadley's carseat.

Then he noticed I was looking at him and had to act shy and goofy instead.

Trying to take his go-cart off-roading.

Hadley had to get a couple fillings done and did great! She was such a big girl and wasn't nervous at all. She even said she was ready to go back to which I quickly replied, "Let's try not to, please."

Park with Peyton, Hadley, Hudson, and Buck. It was pretty toasty and we didn't last a long time but the kids sure had fun while we did.

TV coma...

Hadley and I had a mommy-and-me date before the first day of school. I let her pick everything she wanted to do and one of those things was to paint my fingernails. She tried so hard and did a pretty decent job.

Cuddling with our sick pup right before taking him in to be neutered. Apparently if you don't neuter a dog then they are likely to have prostate problems by the time they are 8 (this would have been great to know about 7 years ago). So we had to do a slightly emergent procedure on him after we noticed he was peeing blood. He did great and has such an unbelieveable pain tolerance because they said neutering on such a big dog can be pretty rough.

Abby and Katie came in town so we met them at the park and then went to Lolly and Pop's house for lunch. Hadley was so excited to see the girls and Hudson just kept looking for another boy to play with.

Pretending to be asleep on the swing.

While Hadley was at school I took Hudson to SAMs with me. He insisted on a cowboy hat (backwards) and cowboy boots. He also insisted on rubbing his hands on my car just to remind me it was time for a wash!

Sooooo bored!

Hadley took a minute out of playing on the bed with Hudson to pose for a picture. She then tried to teach Hudson how to rest his chin in his hands like her...

...however, it just ended like this.

And I am pretty sure he was thinking this:

Bauer has never been allowed up on our furniture because we realize an 80 pound dog could make it look bad pretty quickly. However, after putting Hadley and Hudson in bed one night we came downstairs to find this and wondered how many times we have been fooled....

Stuck in traffic but thankfully Hudson had some dirt movers to watch and keep him occupied.

About to head out for soccer practice.

Matt took Hudson to get his haircut and Hudson suckered him into this toy while they were there. He was so proud and sent me this picture.

We posted a target on the window and Hadley got a bullseye on her third shot!

More school pics from the first couple weeks...

I never was extremely excited for uniforms because Hadley loves to express herself with her clothes selection and I hated to take that from her. However, she has loved her uniforms and it only took me a couple days to realize I love them as well. She looks so stinking cute in them and it is super easy getting ready in the morning. Hadley loves seeing which uniform her friends have picked out to wear each day.  Because it's the first week of school and each day I am seeing her in a new uniform, I just couldn't help but take lots of pictures. She was a trooper and put up with me though!

Love this sweet face!

We decided to take a picture in front of this wall each year so we could see how much she grew...measured in bricks!
