With only a few days left before school starts I am trying to work in all the things the kids would love to do before summer ends. This morning we decided to go buy a couple new toys from the dollar store and then go to the park to play with our new toys. It was a sweltering 95 degrees and we didn't last a long time but we still had fun chasing each other around, playing with our toys, and watching the ducks at Hafer park.
Hudson tried his best to fight off all the dragons that were coming to get us! I have got two kids with the best imaginations and I love playing with them in their imaginary world. They are both so expressive and it sure makes for some eventful days....
Hadley tried to entertain Hudson's idea of fighting for a little bit but quickly lost interest and found some friends to slide and play with. She also made a picnic for her toys and I got to eavesdrop on all of their conversations.
After playing for a little bit we walked down to the pond to watch the ducks. The kids were wearing out from the heat and we only lasted about 10 more minutes. Look at these sweet red faces:
This is one of my favorite pictures. The geese started playing (or fighting) and feathers were flying everywhere. The shock on Hadley's face and the fear on Hudson's face cracks me up!
