Buck is here!

Our newest nephew is here! Lisa had a great delivery and both are healthy and recovering well. I love holding a newborn again...and getting to hand him back when he cries! Buck is such a beautiful baby.

Minutes old:

Hadley was so gentle and loved holding her baby cousin. Hudson was just so excited that he took a little restraining...

Once we finally trusted Hudson to hold him he proved to us that he can be so gentle. The second Buck is in his lap he completely freezes and grins until we take him away. He is completely obsessed with this baby and wants to hold him ALL the time!

Some updated pics...

Ryan and Lisa did their newborn pictures at our house and from the sneak peek we have seen already, they are incredible. Buck was a little hard to get to sleep but finally gave in...

Congratulations to Ryan, Lisa, and Peyton!

Football and pedicures

The cowboys had their football scrimage on Saturday and Matt wanted to take Hudson with him to the game. Unfortunately, Hadley had her dance pictures and we weren't able to go. All four of us ended up having a great Saturday anyway. Hudson loved the crowd and running all around the bleachers. Hadley and I had a girl day of manicures, pedicures, pictures, and ice cream.

Hudson and Daddy...ready for the game! Love how he is watching his daddy and copying his hands.

Time for a haircut...that's a tall faux-hawk.

Loving her pedicure. She especially loved getting her legs scrubbed.

She looked so tiny as she dried her polish.

All finished!

Hopefully I will have some professional pics to add soon but here is Hadley dressed in her dance costume and ready for pictures. Such a pretty little girl that is growing up too fast!

Big helper

I took Hadley to Lisa's last baby shower with me and she suddenly became the center of attention. She loved helping Lisa open all of her presents and did such a good job as a miniature Vanna White. Everybody would laugh each time she held up a gift for all to see and she took her "job" to heart. Only a few more days and we get to meet baby Buck! We are so excited!!!

Fairy Explosion

We went to Brooklyn's 4th birthday party today and it was such a cute theme! The invitation told all the girls to wear a leotard and tights and everything else would be provided for them. When they arrived at the party they got their fairy wings, a tutu, and facepaint. They also made scavenger hunt bags, collected items, and had all kinds of fairy food and cupcakes. Hadley wanted to wear her purple and pink leotard which matched the party perfectly. Such a cute idea!

Birthday Boy

Happy Birthday to Matt! We have a lot of birthday celebrations: dinner with my family on Tuesday, massage for Matt on Wednesday while I took the kids out of the house, and dinner with Matt's family on Thursday. I feel so blessed to celebrate another birthday with the best Husband and my perfect match. Hadley was very excited for Matt's birthday and sang to him about 50 times adding "ooh la la, cha cha cha, hi-ya" at the end each time. I guess this is the new thing to do at her school. Happy Birthday, Matt... WE LOVE YOU!

No family picture but here is a picture of my three favorites before church:

Easter/Spring pics

We had some pictures taken of the kids at Hafer Park and I love how they turned out. Hadley is a couple months from being 5 and Hudson is 18 months old here. Hadley loved having her picture taken by someone other than mommy but Hudson put up a bit of a fight. He just wanted to run down the jogging path and didn't even want to look at the camera. We did manage to get him to cooperate for at least a few pictures.

This one is my favorite of the two of them together:

My favorite of Hadley. She is just too easy to get a cute picture!

And with only one to show off his cute smile, this one is definitely my favorite of Hudson:

Playing hooky

Hadley loves school but on this particular day she was not thrilled about going. She said she just wanted to stay home and play with me. So I talked to her about how much fun she was going to have and we went on our way. As soon as I dropped her off at school my brother called and asked if I wanted to take the kids to the zoo with him and Peyton because Peyton was out of school for Easter Monday. I ran a few errands and surprised Hadley by getting her out of school a little early for a zoo trip. The weather was perfect and we had such a great time.

Playing in the creek:

Peyton feeding the lorakeets:

Hadley wasn't too sure about a bird perching on her and decided to set her cup of nectar on the ground for the bird to eat. She just sat and watched and made sure no other birds came near.

Feeding the giraffes was the girls favorite part of the zoo (and mine too)! They each got 6 pieces of lettuce and got to feed the giraffes over the railing.

And a little too much caffeine!

And finally, doing anything they could to stall us leaving the zoo.
