We had a wonderful Easter. On our way to church we asked Hadley if she knew what Easter meant. She said, "Yes, it means that Jesus is ALIVE!"
Easter morning. Baskets at the front door and waiting for the kids to wake up. Unfortunately, Hadley had found her basket a few days before so she already knew what she was getting. It was interesting trying to come up with a reason her Easter basket was ALREADY here but she accepted the explanation that we werent sure if we would be here or at the lake on Easter morning so mommy and daddy asked the Easter bunny to bring her basket early. He said he would as long as we promised to wait until Easter morning to give it to her. The next few days were torture for all of us. Hadley asked us (every 10 minutes) to PLEASE let her see the Easter basket and wear her OSU cheerleading uniform. We finally had to threaten to send the Easter basket back which finally got her to quit asking until Sunday morning.
Hadley is so excited to finally get her Easter basket!
Hudson loved seeing his Easter basket as soon as he came down the stairs...
...and he was quick to show us that he got a TRUCK!
Hadley couldn't wait to try on her cheerleading uniform and didn't care about much else in her basket.
All smiles!
What's better than chocolate for breakfast?
After the kids played with our gifts for a little while, we quickly got them dressed and headed off to church. We enjoyed a really great service and then made our way to Lolly and Pop's house for a wonderful Easter lunch. Later that evening Mama and Papa came over to see the kids and we got to spend some time with them too. It was so nice to have a relaxing afternoon with the family and enjoying our time together.
