April Pics

I thought Hudson looked absolutely adorable in this outfit with his new haircut so I tried to convince him to let me take some pictures of him. As usual, he said no and would NOT look at me. In fact, he soon began running from me making it nearly impossible. I did manage to trick him on a couple though.

Stinker was caught climbing up the outside of the stairs. It never ends with him.

Evening walking weather has begun!

Hudson and I decided to surprise Hadley at lunch one day. She was so excited to see us walk in and couldn't wait to show Hudson off to all her friends. It is hilarious whenever her friends see him. They all give him big hugs and hold his hand. He thinks it is pretty awesome and wears a big grin on his face the entire time.

He fit right in by grabbing the cash register and playing store.

Hadley and her friend, Clara, had a playdate and Kristin sent me some pictures while she was babysitting.

Mary Beth's 6th birthday was an Extreme Animals birthday party. Although Hadley had been to one before she was much younger and didn't really remember it. She thought it was pretty awesome this time around and was definitely less scared of some of the animals than her mommy was.

Holding Baby Jake just home from the hospital. She is pretty crazy about babies...and especially really cute ones!

Mrs. Burshek's birthday party at school. These kiddos are so lucky to have such an awesome teacher.

So I seemed to have caught Hudson's virus and I got pretty sick myself. This was the first time I had ever attempted to take care of a child while feeling like I was on my death bed and it was really difficult. But Hudson was incredible and really tried to take care of me. He brought me all his dinosaurs to keep me company (and asked me to play for a little bit) and he even rested with me and took a nap. This nap thing is pretty non-existent with him so this was huge! Thankfully, I was feeling a little better the next day and we made it through just fine.

Daddy's golfing buddies are getting much better... Won't be long before they are playing a full 18 with him!

Some cute pictures of the kids that make me thankful for always having an iphone handy...

Hudson's long lasting sickness before Easter. You can always tell when Hudson is sick because of his eyes. He doesn't get a runny nose but instead gets gunky eyes and a croupy cough.

Whew! What a month! It was busy with school getting close to being over and having a sick kid always makes it a little longer. So thankful we have everyone feeling better again!

Easter Egg Hunt

Due to some rain and weather delays, the Adams' family Easter Egg Hunt was delayed until a week after Easter. Thankfully, this gave Hudson a little more time to start feeling better (though he was still feeling a little crummy and in a bit of a bad mood) and let things calm down after the usual Easter chaos. We got ready and while Hudson was still finishing up getting ready I looked out and saw Hadley swinging. She is always so happy in the mornings and I got a couple cute pictures of her hair blowing in the wind as she was swinging and singing songs. This little girl is so full of life!

But it still amazes me how easily she crashes the minute we get in the car.

We arrived before everyone else so the kids got the lake house to themselves. Hadley did her usual coloring while Hudson watched some tv and pulled out every toy we own.

Within about an hour Peyton, Buck, Gunner, Story, and Teddy showed up and quickly joined in on the fun. It didn't take long before all the kids were ready for the egg hunt so after the eggs (all 200 of them) were put out in the yard we lined up and got ready for takeoff.

Our stair-stepped girls...

Hudson quickly wore out and while the big kids stayed outside and counted their eggs, Hudson was ready to come in count the eggs he got and break into some candy.

Another Easter Egg Hunting success. I took this picture while Matt was driving home. Hadley is conked out again and Hudson passed out while eating a cupcake with icing ALL over his face.

Thank you, Mama and Papa, for putting on another wonderful Easter egg hunt.
