The day has come for Hadley to start T-ball!!!! I am not sure who was more excited but I am pretty sure it was me. Some of my very favorite memories as a kid were made on the baseball field from the age of 5 until 14. Hadley is on a team, the Purple Pixies, with her friends Brooklyn, Holland, Story, and Prestyn and all of the moms are friends as well. This is going to make the season fun for us all. Brooklyn's dad is the head coach and Holland's dad and Matt are coaching as well. Judging by the first few practices with first time t-ballers, they are in for an eventful season! Before the first game I had to take Hadley outside to get a few pictures of her all dressed for her game.
How cute is she in her uniform?!?!
Trying to give me a serious face. She is just too sweet to pull this one off!
Hadley and her favorite coach!
So from the time we left our house to the time we made it to the field these massive clouds rolled in along with a cold front. Not the best way to start off the season. We were all pretty chilly and wind burned but still had a great time. Here is the team warming up before game time.
She's got a pretty good arm on her!
Giving Papa some hugs before the game started. All these little girls loved having a fan club and made sure to look back at everyone clapping when they hit the ball.
Oscar and Hudson weren't the best cheerleaders but sure had a great time playing airplanes and digging in the dirt. Oscar had a little accident when they first got there and had to wear Holland's extra pair of pants. They were soon being called the pink duo! We may need to dress a little more manly for the next game!
For the first game the coaches decided to try the girls out at all different positions to find out what they liked. Hadley started out in left field (which ends up being closer to short stop) and really just liked being out there with her daddy.

Coach Bary getting her all lined up:
Woohoo!!! She got a hit on the first swing! Now if mommy could have quit cheering I maybe would have gotten some more pictures of her running to first. But this is all we got:
And she made it all the way home to score our second run of the game! I do need to mention that the team we were playing was about twice our size and in their second season. So we were pretty proud anytime our girls made it on base and better yet, home.
More of Hadley's fans: Ryan, Lisa, and Buck (all making Hudson giggle). With Uncle Ryan playing baseball thoughout his entire life until college, Buck should maybe plan on spending many years on these fields.
Hadley's turn at short stop:
Lolly played with Hudson in the dirt a lot and kept him pretty well entertained which was really nice for me to be able to take some pictures.
Just peeking out to make sure we are all watching!
And once last time on the field as third baseman. However, it was towards the end of the game, the girls were freezing, and she seemed to make pretty good friends with everyone on the opposite team that landed on third.
A partial team picture at the end of the game. We may have not won but we were all so proud of these girls and they did great. Hadley hit the ball each time and even was able to score all three times as well.
