Each year in the fall Thomas the Train comes to the Oklahoma Railway Museum for a "Day out with Thomas." For $18/ticket you can go to the museum, play at the park, meet Sir Topham Hat, play with train tables, visit the gift shop, bounce in a bounce house, and finally, ride Thomas the Train. We knew Hudson would be so very excited!!! Hadley was a great sport and still had a great time even though she pointed out the she was one of the oldest kids. When we first got there I took the kids to the park while Matt waited in line for tickets. They could have played on this tire swing for hours...
Funny story about taking our picture with Sir Topham Hat. Hudson had absolutely no interest in standing next to him but Hadley was pretty excited to get her picture taken. After a little boy walked off I told Hadley to walk over next to him and I would take her picture. We did just that and started to walk away. However, right as I turned around my glance was met with 50 pairs of glaring eyes!!! Apparently there was a huge line that I didn't even see and we just cut in front of everyone! I apologized, to which no one even nodded in acceptance, and we quickly walked away.
They had a lot of train tables but not a lot of trains so each train had already been claimed when we got over to the tables. So guess what? We got to buy another $15 Thomas to add to our collection. But Hudson sure was happy to have his very own Thomas to play with.
On the train and waiting for departure:
Proud of their Jr. Engineer certificates:
We had a fun time and are excited to come back next year.
