Christmas Eve was a pretty wonderful day for all of us. I actually had to work for a few hours in the morning but Hadley got to come up to work with me for a little bit making it a fun day. After we cleaned her teeth and I finished up for the morning we came back home to join Hudson and daddy who were playing with all the new toys. Hadley and I slipped into the other room for a game of Sorry and she beat me...twice. She sure didn't hold back her excitement and after the first win, I grabbed the camera to make sure I captured her expression if she happened to win again.
Here it comes...she sees a win coming her way.
And here it goes! No sympathy for the loser...
Fortunately, we played one more game and I got to give her a taste of her own medicine. We had so much fun playing together and I see lots of board games in our future!
After lunch, Matt and I decided to take the kids to the Bricktown ballpark to go snow tubing. It was so cold and the wind was biting. Hudson went down the slope once and then decided he had enough and would just watch Hadley. Hadley went down a few more times wanting to race each of us. Our noses were all red as could be and Hudson was literally shaking. The kid does not like to wear coats. So, everytime we would ask him to put his gloves or coat on he would say, "no, thank you...I tough." He never one time complained about being cold but could hardly stand up he was shaking so bad. After finishing up we decided to get some hot chocolate and chips and we made our way back to the car.
Stopping for a picture in front of the big tree.
Worn out!
Yep...this is how pictures go most of the time. But I actually love this one. It will be such a great reminder when we are looking back at pictures of their personalities at 3 and 6.
So crazy about each other.
Hadley and Hudson decided that since Santa would be getting cookies at everyone else's house that it would surely be okay for them to have a few bites as well. A few bites turned into Santa only being left two cookies but I am positive Santa didn't need anymore sweets anyway.
Not quite understanding why he can't stay up and say "Hi" to Santa when he brings his gifts.
