Adams family Christmas

We decided to do Christmas a little early this year and celebrated with Mama and Papa on the 22nd. That way we would be able to do Christmas with Lolly and Pops on the 23rd and then have a relaxing day at our house on Christmas Eve and Christmas and we celebrated Jesus' birth. We went to Mama and Papa's house about 3pm and while we waited for everyone to get there the kids colored at the table and played with each other. Soon everyone arrived and we quickly filled our plates with Mexican food and desserts!

This is what we get a lot when we tell Hudson he has to eat. And here is Mama trying to cheer him up:

Hadley is always quick to want to hold her youngest cousin, Gunner.

After we ate dinner and desserts we decided to let the cousins exchange all their presents. They were excited and couldn't wait any longer! They passed out their presents and all tore into them at once. Story got Hadley a double jogging stroller and Peyton got Hudson a batman car that shoots these discs in the air. Hudson screamed, "I got a present!" and had to show it to everybody.

After the kids present exchange we played our annual games of Left-Right-Center. It used to only be the adults but this year we let Peyton, Story, and Hadley play...and Hudson jumped in and out of the game. He had too much fun playing with his car. This is one of my favorite parts of Christmas. It gets so loud and everybody is screaming and cheering. I didn't win, once again, but we still had a great time. Dot won the final game and was so sweet to split all the dollars between the kids. That was enough to make them think they had won!

After the game the Pfenningers went to their Christmas and we had our immediate family Christmas with Ryans family, Mama, and Papa. The kids were way too spoiled by Mama and Papa and got more than they ever needed. I believe the favorite presents were a remote control dinosaur for Hudson and a mini iPad for Hadley. I was so excited to get a restoration hardware blanket and a new set of Wusthof knives that i have been eyeing for a year! Matt got a huge restoration hardware beanbag that has already been taken over by the kids as well as massage gift cards. We are so thankful for all the thought and time my parents put into making it such a fun Christmas for us!

*Getting home and putting these kids in bed was not an easy task! They couldn't wait to play with all their toys and Hudson was pretty much falling asleep as he walked his dinosaur around.
