Our last full day in Seaside and we planned on nothing but a day at the beach. The kids were excited to build more sandcastles, jump over the waves, see how far they could walk out, and bury their daddy. We started with a slow morning wake up, breakfast, and then packed the cooler for the beach. It was supposed to be a great day with really mild temperatures.
These are some of my favorite pictures of the entire trip. I love watching my family play and I LOVE seeing such joy on their faces. Hadley and Hudson loved running from the waves as big ones would come in and to see those big smiles running towards me made my day!
Daddy was such a trooper to be buried in the sand. It was hot and it took the kids forever to get him totally covered but they thought it was so fun!
Hadley wanted to write her name in the sand. And its hard to see in the last picture but it says "Hadley loves Hudson." So sweet.
I got to watch Hadley play catch with her daddy....
...and Hudson have races with him.
After a full morning, we decided to pack up, go back to the room, and head to the pool for a little bit. The kids wanted to rinse all the sand off their bodies and at the pool it was a little easier to get a break from the sun.
With a full restaurant/snack bar at the pool we had endless options yet the kids chose sno cones! They were so sweet to share with each other and ate every last bite.
Back to the beach one last time before leaving Seaside. We still had more sandcastles to build and Hudson wanted to be buried in the sand as well.
Hadley napped by the ocean and slept for about an hour out here without waking up once.
Hudson's turn to be buried by daddy while still sitting up. He giggled so hard and thought it was just the most hilarious thing!
We exhausted ourselves at the beach and went inside to shower, take baths, and get ready to head back downstairs for one last night of playing with new friends in the square. We all were a little pink from the day our bodies were zapped from the sun. We played catch, chased our friends, and ate dinner before heading up for the night once it was dark. Going to bed was a little harder this time knowing that it was our last night to sleep here...
