Drew and Matt played in our Member/Guest golf tournament at the club this year. This is the third time for Matt to play and the second time for the two of them to play together. This year Drew brought along Davis and Sloan for 4 days of playing with our kids. Although they had quite a rough time getting here it was so much fun and I am thrilled the kids came. Due to some weather issues they missed their plane in Atlanta and had to fly to Houston and stay the night in Houston. With the golf tournament starting at 8 the next morning Matt was thinking there was a chance he would have to play a hole or two by himself. Houston, thankfully, got them on a 6:30 flight and they should have been here by 7:30.....but, the next morning they overslept and ran up to the gate just in time to see the plane leaving the gate! Next flight...10am. So, they got in about noon and Matt played the first round by himself. The kids were great after about 24 hours of traveling and were just happy to be at the house. Davis and Hudson hadn't seen each other in almost 18 months but became best buddies in no time. Sloan and Hadley had just seen each other about a month ago but were still just as happy to give each other big hugs and run up to Hadley's room to play!
We spent much of the time at the pool, playing outside, playing with toys, and spending time at Lolly and Pops' house. Davis got to meet Baby Jake and we got some cute pics of the grandson's together. On Friday, I had to work and Lolly, Kristin, Mama, and Papa took all four kids and Peyton to Chuck E Cheese for an early birthday celebration for Hadley. This is the one place she REALLY wanted to go because she knew Chuck E sang songs for the birthday girl AND you got a cake! Friday evening Sloan and Davis got to watch Hadley play her very last t-ball game and we all had cookies that Mama and Papa had brought to the game for Hadley's teammates.
We all had a great time and it was such fun to spend time with some of the Florida Hollomans. Excited for the whole family to come back in a few weeks for the Fourth of July!
Cute pictures from the photo machine at Chuck E Cheese:
