The kids and I were playing outside today when we noticed a tiny baby bird laying in our flowerbed. When I looked up in the guttering above I noticed a nest and can only imagine it must have fallen out a little too soon. Besides not being very mobile he seemed pretty healthy and just looked around. I told the kids we couldn't get too close and after watching him outside for a while we went inside and watched him through our window. We were only inside about 5 minutes before its momma flew back with a worm for him. The kids were literally SCREAMING and so excited to see the momma because they were terrified she was gone forever! We watched the momma fly away and fly back with more worms about 4 times before she left for quite a while. We checked on the baby bird several times throughout the day and finally saw him walking around our flowerbed. We are hoping he is here tomorrow morning and we can watch him grow over the next few days!
