Hadley's birthday party #1~

Hadley has been begging for a slumber party for her 8th birthday. It is such a wonderful thing for her to have friends from so many different areas in her life as well as a lot of cousins but this made the idea of a slumber party a little difficult. We finally decided on a slumber party for some of her best friends from school and a then we planned on a seperate party for friends and family at the lake. Her slumber party was first...

Hadley invited Charlotte, Kate, Clara, and Reese to her party but Kate ended up being out of town and not getting to come. So we had a total of four and it was just a perfect number. Hadley patiently waited all morning for her friends to come. We braided her hair, played with dolls, and cleaned her room until it was time for Hudson to go spend the night with Mama and Papa.

Some pictures of Hadley's cake. She picked it out herself and I think it turned out so cute!

And then the friends started arriving. They all seemed pretty excited to play with Hadley's new crutches. We quickly changed into our swimsuits and headed down to the pool for an afternoon of swimming.

Lots of fun pictures at the pool. We picked up a couple more friends at the pool making it more fun for the birthday girl. They swam, played, ate dinner, and swam some more.

When they were ready to go we hopped on the golf cart and rode up the sno-cone shack for a little after dinner treat. This is Hadley's favorite place to go so it was only fitting we went there for her party. These girls just made me laugh all night. They sang the whole way there and are just always so silly!

When we delivered the girls birthday invitations we presented them with a pair of pajamas and asked them all to bring them so they could each match. It was so fun and the girls loved it.

I knew I needed to have some activities for the girls so they wouldn't get bored so I bought these picture frames and stickers at Michaels for the girls to paint and decorate. It was fun for me to watch how cute their frames started out and then they just couldn't stop with the stickers and had to keep adding more!

And, of course, we had to have a little photo op so we would have a picture for our frames.  I think these pictures turned out SO cute.

After opening presents, changing into our pajamas, and eating cake the girls popped some popcorn and turned on a movie in the movie room. Poor Hadley could barely keep her eyes open. Our little girl takes after her momma and loves to go to sleep and wake up early! After holding out a little longer they finally decided to take the movie up to Hadley's room and lay in bed to watch it up there. Hadley was out in about 10 minutes while the other girls had a little more trouble falling asleep. But I finally was able to get a picture of 4 sleeping girls on the monitor!

The girls woke up happy and ready to go at 8am. I picked up donuts for all the kids and we ate outside on the patio. They played outside for a bit and then we decided to go to the park and play before Mama got back with Hudson. It warmed up quickly and they didn't last long before wanting to come back home. Hudson got home, moms came for pick up, and soon the party came to a close. Hadley had the best time and it was such a fun, easy party to throw. I sure love this group of girls she has become great friends with!

BIRTHDAY SUCCESS! Happy 8th Birthday, Hadley Brooke!
