Even on vacation I have trouble sleeping in. So I got up early, went for a quick jog around Seaside, finished up with some coffee, and a walk home on the beach.
When I got home from the walk Hadley, Mama, and Papa were the only ones awake. She couldn't wait to get out of the house so we got her dressed and went out for another bike ride around town and a walk on the beach together. Daddy met us on the beach to do a quick work out and after a friendly racing competition we left him to work out while Hadley and I walked all the way down to the beach we stayed at last summer. It ended up being way further than we anticipated and we weren't thrilled to have to walk all the way back. But we finally made it and even had enough energy to play a little ping pong when we got home.
While we were gone all the others had gotten dressed and wanted to go check out the Watercolor Fire Department. The firemen were so welcoming and loved showing us around. The kids even got a frisbee and firehat to take home.
We got back from the fire department and it took about 5 seconds for the kids to scarf down some lunch, change into their swimsuits, and ask to go back to the beach. It was such a warm perfect day in the water and we built even more sandcastles (if thats what you want to call the lumps of sand we piled up).
Another fun day but not too busy! We got to spend most of the day relaxing on the beach and it was perfect. A day of rain may be coming tomorrow so we wanted to make sure and soak it all up while we could!
