After a day of mainly Cars and Toy Story for Hudson, Hadley was pretty excited about her "princess day" and makeover at the Bibbidy Bobbidi Boutique. We made the reservations several months ago and had a full day planned of getting all dolled up. Here we are all dressed up and ready to go for the morning. Since Frozen is still fairly new, Elsa was definitely her choice of princess when I asked her which dress she wanted to have made.
The early magic hour was once again California Adventure and so Matt, Hudson, and Papa spent the morning back in CarsLand and Paradise Pier while the girls went over to Fantasyland where the Princess Castle was as well as the boutique.
Ready to get madeover! When her appointment was ready a woman called her name.."princess Hadley" to come back and change into her dress so she could get her hair done. We had brought her Rapunzel ball gown from home so we quickly went back to the changing room and began our transformation. Hadley was able to pick a hairstyle, makeup color, nail color, and crown. The woman doing her hair was so great but they sure know how to make it tight! It wasn't long after we left that Hadley was already saying her head was hurting!!! I took lots of pictures because I couldn't get enough of that smile. This was the part of the trip that Hadley looked forward to the most.
So pretty!
The reveal...
Lucky for us we left at the perfect time to meet up with the guys again. As we were leaving the castle we ran into the Fairy Godmother. Hadley was able to take her picture with her and get an autograph for both her and Hudson.
Mama had made reservations for Ariel's grotto long before our trip and had planned it for right after Hadley's makeover. We met the guys at the restaurant where Hadley surprised Hudson with her new look. It was so sweet because Hudson kept telling Hadley how beautiful she was. The restaurant gave the Prince a crown and both of the kids got to take a picture with Ariel as they entered her restaurant. After we sat down and had ordered our food they announced that several of Ariel's friends were there today and would be walking around to meet everyone. Hadley's eyes lit up! Hudson still wasn't sure what to think until they started filing out. He was starstruck!!! He gave his sweetest little smile and would lean in close for a picture. I really think he was just as excited as Hadley! I was really impressed at how each princess made such a big deal over Hadley and made sure that she felt very special. Each of the kids got all their autographs and loved counting how many they had gotten so far.
After lunch we went back to the hotel and took Hadley's hair down because she had quite a headache! Rather than trying to wash it all out we decided it would be easier to go jump in the pool so the kids went swimming once again. After wearing themselves out we came back to the room, rested for a tiny bit, took baths, and headed back out for what we knew would be a long night. We had planned on this being the night we watched the World of Color.
Back into the park with a few couple more toys that had been purchased. Somehow, we actually made it home with all those green balls in Hudsons gun.
We stopped at the Ghiradelli store for a little dessert while Mama and Papa held our spots for the Pixar Parade. This was my favorite of the parades but I am sure Hadley liked the one with the princesses a little more! I didn't include many pics but I took SO many!
Hadley's first roller coaster of the trip. I laugh that this one is made for kids over 42" and it still scared me half to death. Not kidding...it felt like we were going to go over the edge of the track about 50 times!
We rode more rides, went in more stores, and soon the lack of naps started catching up to us. Hadley fell asleep in the stroller so we took a little break near some restaurants and got a bite to eat while she slept. Hudson was NOT going to miss out on anything so we entertained him with more sugar! After some rest and dinner we made our way over to the World of Color and waited for it to get dark. The show was so impressive and worth the wait. The kids loved it just as much!
A late night meant some sleepy kids. They were exhausted and fell asleep in the stroller on the way back home. We had a great day and they stayed passed out as we transferred them right over to the bed from the stroller. One day in the park left and we were sure it would be another good one!
