First Crossings home game

Crossings had a capitol campaign to try and raise $10 million and incredibly it was accomplished in only 10 months! Their plans with the money are to build a middle school (at this time there is only an elementary school and a highschool building) and a state-of-the-art athletic complex. They started with the football field so that the school could start hosting football games. We had our first home game this week and in celebration they had a cookout for the entire school. We were pretty excited to see the new stadium as well as the new school mascot, Perceval the knight. Hadley could NOT wait to see all of her friends and had so much fun playing with them the entire night. They ran all over the grounds during the cookout and then went out on the track during the game. She did not spend a lot of time sitting beside us in the stands and I am pretty sure she did not see a single play of the entire game! But we all had a great time, including Hudson. Hudson was pretty obsessed with Perceval and though he didn't want to get close to him, he wanted to know where he was at all times! The football team ended up losing the game but put up quite a fight. With a growing school we only have 2 seniors on the team so I only anticipate us getting better each year. I can't wait to see when the complex is completely finished!

The line for the first home game! Everyone has been so excited for this night and it was standing room only!

A glimpse of the new turf field. The picture definitely doesn't do it justice...its so pretty!
