Its kind of crazy to see the change Hudson has made in the last year with his attitude towards sports. He went from being a homebody (which he still is a bit) that would rather stay home to a preferring to be outside doing some sort of activity. He has gained so much confidence and loves to compete. He also likes to win and doesn't handle it well when he's not doing well or has a rough game.
Hudson loves soccer. And this is new. He started his soccer career not even stepping foot on the field. We tried to make him finish out the season but it became too hard and the tears and fears of going out on the field weren't worth it. He had just turned 4 at the time. 5 was a little easier. A familiar coach and dad of his best friend helped a lot. He didn't love getting ready and the thought of going but he was happy when he made it onto the field. Then came 6. He now loves it. Getting ready is easy. He's excited to play and only gets upset when he goes an entire game without a goal. We love his little team. The parents are all friends and the boys (and two girls) get along great. Its a fun team to watch.
I'm excited to see the team play in the fall. We tried to make Hudson pick between soccer and baseball and he just could NOT do it so I guess we will be playing another season of both!
