Dance Recital

Hadley has completed her 6th year of dance. I would say the first 4 years were just going through the motions. Sometimes she loved going, sometimes she complained about it. But the past two years it has become a love of hers. She dances all the time at home and is always excited for Thursday and Friday night dance. She was in 3 dances this year (ballet, jazz, and competition jazz) and did so great in each of them. She had front and center spots in each dance and showed us she has been working hard. The smile on stage comes so naturally and I love seeing her so happy up there.

These two pictures are from rehearsal the day before. The girls get to watch all the dances so this is her watching some other girls dance and then a picture of Story and Hadley in their jazz costumes.

Recital day. The studio switched it up this year and had everyone wear their hair in French braids. Hadley's hair has grown JUST enough to make it work. I took a couple pictures of Hadley and Hudson before her recital. Her little brother is so proud of her!

We had to get one in her costume holding her softball bat and glove. Her two loves at this point...enough that she can't even pick a favorite!

Hudson ran out to the car one more time as we were backing out. He had to tell her good luck ONE more time!

The next few pictures are of Hadley in her three costumes. I loved all three of them! We weren't allowed to take pictures or video in the recital but I did order a video DVD.

Recital over! Look at all those flowers. Hadley had her Mama and Papa come, Lolly and Pops, and Mommy, Daddy, and Hudson, of course. I love how excited she gets to see her whole support system coming to watch her. Hudson even had a great candy bouquet for her when she got home from the recital. He could NOT wait to give it to her! I think it was definitely her favorite bouquet of the night.
