April Pictures

We have started getting Hudson's haircut at an actual barbershop. And in true barbershop fashion, it took 45 minutes at his first appointment. These guys work so slow. The cut a little and talk a lot. They wanted to know all about Hudson and are just the nicest guys. Hudson loved learning about Roosevelt, aka Rosie, as well. We found out he was in a Christian rap band before cutting hair and he has two daughters. I took this picture because Hudson looked absolutely miserable the entire time. But as we walked out to the car he said, "Mommy I am so glad Rosie is a Christian because now he will always be able to cut my hair, even when we are in heaven!" So precious.

I worked the book fair for the first time and had so much fun. I loved getting to help kids pick out books, help them figure out how much money they had left, work the cash register, and hang out with moms, many of which I didn't even know. But my favorite part was the surprise on the Hadley and Hudson's faces when they walked in to spend their money and had no idea that I would be there. I had sent money with them but wanted to surprise them at lunch. They thought it was so much fun for me to be "working" at the school.

Our lives kind-of revolve around walking Bauer right now and when I saw the storm coming I knew I better hurry and get him walked before the rain hit. I've already had to take many walks in the rain with him and its not the most fun. Hadley and Hudson have become quite my sidekicks on walks and Hadley (a little nervous about the storm coming) wanted to come with me. It is crazy that these two pictures are taken in the exact same spot, just taken from different directions.

Hudson got invited to a little girls birthday party at a roller skating rink and siblings were invited as well. I have to say that it was the most hilarious birthday party I have ever been to. I'm not sure that roller skating is the best idea for a group of kindergarteners who don't know how to skate yet. They were falling all over the place and I am amazed that we didn't end up with any broken bones, though I am positive there were several bruises. My friend commented that Hudson looked like a baby giraffe on skates. He was all over the place and never gave up. He even attempted to dance along to the songs while skating. I got some pretty great video. Hadley loved skating with the little girls and helping them out. They all think Hudson's big sister is pretty great!

Mornings before school can sometimes be a little rushed but I am thankful for these early birds that usually make it easy to get out the door and are always in pretty great moods before school.

Hudson was pretty thrilled that him and Hadley both got $20 for Easter from Mama and Papa. And that money went straight in his piggy bank. He is such a saver. He has no problem spending our money but never wants to spend his own! I think he may have gotten that from his mom...

Class Resurrection parties. I was able to get off work early to be with the kids. Class parties are always my favorite....hyped up kids, so much excitement, and getting to spend time with them.

Hadley's friend, Reese, broke her foot at school and Hadley watched it happen. She felt so terrible for her but thought it was pretty awesome that Reese got a big black walking boot. Reese came over a couple days later and it didn't seem to hold them back from playing, they even took the dogs on a walk. Hadley really loves that she gets to carry Reese's bag for her at school and, therefore, ride the elevator.

Brooklyn had a bowling birthday party and everyone was told to wear neon. I just thought these were cute pictures of everyone glowing.

A couple random pictures of Hadley reading. I can't ever seem to get enough of these, mainly because I know it won't be long before she doesn't want me right by her side while she is reading.  And a picture of Hudson playing 1st base. I laughed because he was still learning how to play the base and may have missed a few plays but he definitely knew how to stare down the opposing player!

Hudson picked a new haircut and wanted a "hard part." He loved it and can't wait to go to school and show his friends. When we got home the kids were playing on the curb and laughing so hard. I went out to take a few pictures of them playing in the sunset. They are so good at imaginary play with each other.

A little selfie on the couch since its about the only way I get in pictures with the kids. I'm a little camera happy but Matt may have about 20 pictures on his phone...so I guess we compliment each other well?

Some morning cuddles before getting ready for school. These kids are usually so sweet to each other in the mornings!

Went to Ryan and Lisas house to celebrate Buck turning 5. We had presents, sandwiches, and cake. We hung out at their house for a little while and then had a really cold drive home in the jeep. The days aren't too bad but the evenings are still really cold. Thankfully, Lisa let us take a few blankets with us to bundle up.

Buck had his birthday at Incredible pizza. I'm not sure if I had the flu or a sinus infection but I felt terrible and had a fever so I ended up going home. These are the only pictures I got of the party and birthday boy. It was fun for the kids though. Thankfully, Mama and Papa had the kids stay and then brought them to us later.

How old can this kid look?! He is all about baseball right now so he loves his baseball necklaces and his new OSU baseball hat from daddy.

Bubble baths with friends are the best!
