Hudson tagged along with us to one of Hadley's friends birthday parties and while she was playing he put on quite a puppet show!
I was at the grocery store one day and Matt sent me this picture of Hudson holding hands with Rapunzel while watching a movie.
Hudson got a new hat and wants to wear it ALL the time. He typically wears it to bed and then puts it on first thing in the morning when he wakes up. I was so excited to have a little boy that wears ball caps and love that he will finally keep it on his head!
Amber sent me this picture of Hadley and Kinley playing dress up at her house. Hadley and Kinley love to have sleepovers with each other! I had no idea Hadley would be so ok with staying at someone else's house at 5 years old. It actually kindof makes me sad that we don't get a phone call to come pick her up in the middle of the night!
Hudson showing off his sensitive side. He wanted to make sure the baby could see the movie too.
Hadley is wanting to read SO bad. She sounds out everything and is constantly giving us a collection of letters and wants us to make words out of them. This night she brought daddy a pile of flashcards and asked him to go through them with her. She is getting so close and just gets hung up on her vowels!
Ryan and I took both of our kids over to Mama and Papa's house one day to play. While Hadley and Peyton were in the playroom Hudson and Buck hung out in Mama's chair. They just looked at each other and smiled the whole time!
Until Hudson decided he wanted to point out all of Buck's body parts...
Because I just may not work at the jail forever, I took a picture of the nastiness I see most days. So many inmates have never been to the dentist and even more have no concept of oral hygiene. I do a lot of educating which often goes in one ear and out the other. Here are a couple teeth I took out on a guy that will soon be losing all his teeth. And his words to me were, "I think I may have something stuck in my teeth but I can't get it out."
Hudson giving Woody an upside-down piggy back ride upstairs to go to bed.
I randomly found these pictures from Matt's phone. Not sure what was going on here but I just thought it was cute of Hadley running up to her daddy.
A sweet picture of Hudson watching TV and sucking his thumb.
Little man was not feeling so great and had some flushed cheeks after waking up from a nap. Hadley had just come in from playing outside and Hudson just needed a little cuddle time on the couch with her. She absolutely LOVES when he wants to sit right beside her!
Hadley doesn't love scrambled eggs but she would eat hard-boiled eggs all day long! She wanted to make her eggs all by herself and even tried patiently waiting for them to finish boiling. She didn't quite make it and decided to watch tv until they were done.
Storytime with Woody before bedtime. The only time I can get him to pose and smile for a picture is if he has one of his favorite toys to pose with. So I often take the opportunity!
All dressed for church and I just couldn't get over how old he looked.
After church we still had some ice on the ground and Hadley and Hudson wanted to "ice skate" on it. It wasn't the best idea but thankfully we didn't end up with any broken bones and after a few close calls with the ice we convinced them to come inside.
Warming up with a movie after playing on the ice:
Lexi and Jase invited us to watch their school musical and they did such a great job. Lexi had a solo and performed perfectly. Unfortunately we were pretty far away and didn't get the best picture of her singing. Afterwards, Hadley couldn't wait to run up and hug Lexi and Lexi was also pretty excited to show Hadley off to all her friends.
Because a certain 2 year old couldn't stay quiet, I ended up having to take him out in the hall to run around and not disturb anybody. Jase and Lexi's musical had a dog theme and so there was a big, stuffed toy at the entrance to the sanctuary. Hudson found the dog and was in love. He drug it up and down the hall and kept wanting to take his picture with the dog.
This was my favorite. Hudson looked at me and said, "night, night." He then pulled the dog underneath the bench in the hallway and they both went to "sleep."
I realized on the way to school that I had forgotten to get a picture of Hadley before pajama day at school. So this is the best we got...one in the car of her in her ballerina pajamas.
We went to Elevation Trampoline park with Jase and Lexi and though it was a bit overwhelming with the number of teenagers (should have been expected on a Friday night), the kids still had so much fun jumping with each other. Hudson was a wild man and all over the place and Hadley just wanted to practice her gymnastics:
