Hadley continues to amaze us at how quickly she picks stuff up and how she has very little fear. She has been asking us to teach her how to ride her bike without training wheels for a while now but we have been putting it off because of the heat. Matt was anticipating a long day of running up and down the street and was hoping for some cooler weather. So the first cool weekend we had we thought we would give it a go. Hadley was already dressed and ready for the football game that her daddy was taking her to and insisted on wearing a dress so I was imagining bloody knees and elbows. While Hudson was still sleeping for the morning we went out to the street. I planned on taking a few pictures of Daddy holding onto her seat and running down the street with her. I assumed she would give it a couple tries, get tired of it, want to go to the game, and we would try again the next day. I was SO wrong. It took one time of running down the street with help. Next try, Matt let go and she rode her bike ALL by herself! She wobbled a bit, regrouped, and just kept going! She made turns and she would brake, balance a bit, and jump off without falling. I was so AMAZED!!! I thought we would have to teach her how to ride her bike for days and instead, she did it instantly. We gave lots of high fives and were pretty proud of our 5 year old.
I just love this picture of Hadley's very first time down the street.
Hadley was soon ready to celebrate with a trip to Stillwater to watch her "go Pokes." She was so excited to spend the day with her daddy while Hudson and I had a playdate ourselves at home.
At the game. Hadley wanted so badly to do some cheers with the cheerleaders but was just as happy to see her cousins instead. What was going to just be a tailgate before the game turned into Hadley staying outside and playing the entire game while Matt went inside the stadium.

Hadley LOVED her first game of the season and it may be a little difficult for Matt to get out of the house to go to any more games without her in tow!
