After Davis got so excited to meet a real-life fireman, Lynn and I decided it would be fun to take the boys to Guthrie to see my brother while he was working. Hadley and Sloan had already gone to Ft. Worth so it worked perfectly to give the boys a "boy day."
They loved it! I haven't been to the station in a few years so I think Lynn and I had as much fun seeing all the firetrucks and where the firemen slept, worked out, cooked, etc. Because of only having one firestation in Guthrie that runs the ambulance service as well, it is a huge station with 3 brush pumpers for grass fires, 3 or 4 big fire engines, two ambulances, a few smaller trucks, and then a polaris.
Here are the boys climbing around in a truck:
Davis, sliding down the firepole.
The boys and their fire hats and stuffed animal souveniers.
Hudson had to wear his "future fireman" shirt to visit his Uncle Ryan.
The boys had such a good time running through the fire station, making lots of noise with the sirens and horns, and getting lots of attention. I have a feeling we may be spending lots of time at the fire station with Ryan.
