Last Day in Steamboat / Father's Day

Matt and I were lucky to be able to spend Father's Day with both of our dads in Steamboat. However, we quickly realized how hard it would be to get both families together so we went to breakfast with Jim, Erin, Tim, Amy, Abby, Katie and the four of us. We went to a small breakfast place called Creekside Cafe and it was wonderful. They seated us right beside this rushing creek and it was so relaxing....well, as relaxing as a meal can be with two little ones!

For lunch we picked up pizza and ate with my mom, dad, Lisa, Ryan, and Peyton. It was fun to see Ryan and Lisa the day after the wedding and tell stories about the night. We also went to a water park called Old Town Hot Springs. It is made up of many natural hot springs pools and I was amazed at how it was possible for the water to naturally be 105 degrees! Thankfully it was, because it was in the low 60's that day and we froze our tails off when we were not in the water. Here are some pics of the kids playing:

And we are DONE! We decided it was time to go when the kids lips were purple...

We had decided to stay one extra night after everyone else had left. That evening my mom, dad, Peyton, Hadley, Hudson, Matt, and I decided to go into town and see if anything was open on a Sunday evening. We found an icecream shop and the girls got to pick out a couple toys. We walked around a little more and then decided to head back to the hotel, relax, and dread another day of long travels!

When you hardly have any toys in the hotel room and you have to keep the baby entertained you let them play in the oven!

We had such a great trip but were ready to come home. To make sure we only have good memories of the trip I will leave off our day of traveling but just say it consisted of some crying, a carsick child, and a bumpy flight. And when we got off the flight and it was 100 degrees we all looked at each other and were ready to go back!
