Our little girl went to bed a three-year-old....
...and woke up a four-year-old!
We started the morning with donuts for breakfast and opening a few presents since mommy and daddy had to go to work. The first thing she opened was a new nightgown and she LOVED it! She immediately put it on and wore it for two days straight!
Hadley and her Justin Bieber doll from Hudson
Hadley and her "Birthday Barbie" from Mama and Papa
When we got home from work we surprised Hadley with a cookie cake. She loves to hold up four fingers! She also says she is REALLY TALL now that she is four and that she can ride in the front seat now. Nice try!
Daddy stayed up really late putting this present together. We charged it all day and surpised her with it when we got home from work that night. We have since taken multiple rides every day so I think it was a success.
She was nice enough to take bubby for a ride...
And a few more things about this fabulous four-year-old...
I really think we have the best little girl we could have ever dreamed of. She is sensitive and always wants to make sure everyone is ok. She has so many friends at school and tells me how much she loves all of them. She is so sweet to her brother and 99% of the time shares all of her toys with him without us even asking. She says daily that she can't wait for him to be big enough to sleep with her and she always wants him to play in her room with her. She tells us she loves us multiple times a day without being prompted and it melts our heart every single time! She is very soft-spoken but has also developed quite a loud voice ever since Hudson was born. She loves to help and minds so well. She always wants to make us happy and really gets her feelings hurt if we have to get on to her.
-she loves to watch movies, especially with her daddy.
-she loves to have her back tickled. She had to have gotten this from her mommy!
-She likes to try and run fast. She thinks that anytime she is wearing running shoes she is automatically twice as fast.
-She is such a great sleeper but an early riser, usually between 6:30 and 7. This is ok with me because I love to get to play with her before going to work. She still takes a nap (willingly) and even asks to take one sometimes without being told. She also sleeps all night in her own bed.
-She can spell her name and has gotten really good at writing it too.
-She LOVES clothes and is very particular about what she wears. It is a constant battle with clothes because she will find one particular outfit and want to wear it for a week straight! She will also change multiple times a day and each night I find myself hanging up a closet full of clothes that are on the floor.
-She loves to play pretend and has more of an imagination than I ever thought a child could have.
-She loves to play "mommy" and take care of all her babies.
-She no longer drinks out of a sippy cup and is finally eating now that she doesn't fill up on milk! We should have ended the sippy cup a long time ago.
-She loves having long hair and always wants it styled a different way. Side ponytails and braids are her favorite
-She dances all the time and has twice the rhythm I do. She likes ballet, tap, and gymnastics but says ballet is her favorite.
-She loves fingernail polish and getting manicures and pedicures.
-Purple is her favorite color after two years of pink being her favorite.
-She is 40 inches tall (60%) and 32 lbs (30%)
We love her more than we could have ever imagined loving a child. Both of our children have made our life complete!
