Lake with the Fares

Hadley became great friends with Charlotte in her Kindergarten class last year. Shortly after, Charlotte's family moved into Rose Creek and ever since we have spent a lot of time with the Fares. They have never seen our lake place but heard lots about it so we made plans to go down on this Saturday and spend the day. We were pretty excited to pull up and see how much the lake had risen since the recent rain. The water, which used to be at the seadoo docks was now several feet closer to the house making our dock much more useable. We had a GREAT day and so much fun. The weather was really cool and nice in the morning and we were about the only people on the lake. We rode the four-wheelers and I think David hung out on them for most of the day. I took a picture of Hudson riding the four-wheeler for his first time ever steering and pressing the gas by himself. Matt pulled out he tire swing and teeter totter and the kids played for hours outside. Around 2 Matt started up the grill to make hamburgers and hotdogs and the gas got a little out of control, singeing his eyebrows and eyelashes! But the food was great and we all ate way more than we needed to. After a late lunch it was back on the lake for some more tubing and trying to throw the kids off! Hudson got on for about 5 seconds but he weighed so little it made the front of the tube go under the water and that scared him enough to be his last tubing experience for the weekend. Papa drove by on the sea doo and Hudson decided to hop on with him while we finished up on the boat. After everyone was exhausted and had enough we went back to the house to play a little more while we cleaned up. Hudson fell asleep in the chair and even slept through the older kids screaming and doing gymnastics right beside him. About 7 we decided to head home for the night with sleepy kids in the car. We had such a great day and look forward to making it back out there with them again!
