Hudson's first time on the carousel...and a little nervous!
So much fun!
All smiles...and he wanted to ride it over and over.Hadley was excited from the very beginning and wanted the horse with all the "diamonds!"
After resting at the hotel for about 30 minutes, we made our way to the American Girl store while Hudson and Matt stayed back at the hotel for Hudson to take a nap.
Just got to the store and the girls could hardly stand still for a picture!
Hadley with her new American girl doll that Mama and Papa bought her for her 5th birthday (a little early).
This is the doll that looked the most like Hadley and she is already in love...
Picking out a hair ribbon to get her doll's hair done.
Time for her hair appointment.
Hadley had to sign her name for her doll to be released to her. She had to promise to take care of her hair and follow all the rules.
After the hair salon and getting Hadley's doll's ears pierced we went down to the Bistro for dinner. Daddy and Hudson made it just in time to eat with us. The dolls got their own seats and a tea set with pink lemonade. Hadley and Peyton thought this was so cool! The waitress even continued to fill up her doll's "tea" as Hadley drank it down each time.
Having a conversation...
Peyton and her doll, Rosie.
Hudson had had enough with all the pink and decided to look out the window and watch all the cars go by. This made his daddy proud!
Time to leave and the girls were happy with all the gifts they got. Hadley even had a gift card from Mama and Papa to buy something with her own money. She bought a cheerleader outfit....no surprise there!
Time to name her doll. This took a few minutes of thinking and she first came up with...
But after reading the book about "Julie" which is the store's name for the doll, she decided Julie needed to be her first name instead. She said her first name is Julie, her middle name is Kinsey Selena Gomez, and her back name is Holloman.
Hudson was pretty excited about joining in for the picture.
That evening we went swimming at the hotel and the kids had so much fun after not swimming all winter. Hudson giggled at the hottub bubbles, Hadley needed a little swimming refresher, and Peyton swam around until she could hardly see straight.
Hudson wore himself out pretty quickly and was content just to lay his head on his daddy's shoulder.
And the trip home we had one kid quick to fall asleep from exhaustion...
...while the other (not pictured) decided a nap was over-rated and watched movies the whole way home!
