Before the 4th

Andrew's family came in town on July 1st. We have been so excited to see them and the kids were especially excited to see their cousins! As soon as they all saw each other it was as if they had never been apart. Hudson and Davis were instantly best friends, Hadley loved having a younger girl cousin to play with and especially loved seeing Sloan. They are two peas in a pod and always get along so well. What made it even more fun (and hectic) is having Abby and Katie here for the week too! We did a lot of moving around houses, sleepovers, swimming, and playing...and this was all before the 4th. On Thursday evening Jane and John had their annual swim party for everybody. Just look at all the kids in the picture! It is always a great time for the kids to play though we got a pretty major rain shower this year that ended up closing down the party a little early. Still fun and we are thankful Jane opens up her house to all of us each year.

On Friday I was off work but Matt was working so the kids and I loaded up the car and headed down to the lake. Ryan's family and Mama and Papa were there as well and we were all ready to get the weekend started. Papa bought a new tube that we tested out for the day and Lisa bought a new slip n' slide that the kids had a lot of fun on. We spent most of the day enjoying some time outside and spending time together. I got some pretty great pictures of all the kids having so much fun!

After a day on the water we came in to relax and it started getting dark. We watched a couple fireworks across the lake and then Ryan had fun setting off a few for us as well. Hudson LOVED them this year!

With Matt still at home with the dogs I got to sleep in the king bed with my babies. They were obviously worn out from the day before because even with the sunshine coming through the windows they just wanted to sleep! I finally ended up waking them up so Mama could have her bathroom to get ready. It was the 4th of July, everyone would be here soon, and we had a fun weekend planned!
