Several pictures this month....some speak for themselves and some may need a little explaining.
I saw this poem the other day and cry every single time I read it. This all hits me so hard right now! I would give anything to have time stand still and be able to soak up every second with these babies that are growing up way too fast!!!
Waiting on dance to start. Mondays are absolutely crazy! I pick the kids up at school and we take Hudson to karate. While he is at practice Hadley changes in the bathroom for dance and finishes her homework. Then we go stop for dinner on the way to dance and eat in the car. Hadleys dance is from 5:15-6:45 and often we have softball right afterwards. Its a hectic way to start the week but also nice to get it all over with.
The kids first time at Eischens. The entire Adams family went and treated Jody to her first time as well. Unfortunately, neither of our kids appreciated the taste of some good fried chicken...Hadley only ate pickles and Hudson only ate bread. They will learn...
An extreme animals birthday party that the kids were invited to. Hudson's come a long way! He went from crying for much of his party to loving all the animals...even the snake.
I found this note in Hadley's room and laughed so hard I cried. Her friend, Reese, and her wrote it so they could stand out by the street and make some money. It says..
"We are poor and we need some money. Can we have some clothes? We have a baby."
Obviously, we had a little talk about this not being very appropriate but it sure did give me a good laugh!
Double rainbow!
Matt's good college friends, Jason and Molly Lauber, passed through town on their way to Texas. They met us downtown with their three kids and we ate dinner, enjoyed the nice weather, and got some icecream. It was so fun to see them and our kids were instant friends!
Love that this 7.5 year old can still listen to her body and knows when she needs a nap. Hudson fights naps with everything he has but its not rare for Hadley to let us know that she just needs to "rest" for a little bit.
He'll be such a good daddy someday!
This kiddo LOVES cantaloupe! While I was picking some stuff up he snuck in the fridge and managed to eat this ENTIRE container of cantaloupe. It hadn't even been opened yet.
I had just gotten out of the shower when I heard Hudson crying for me over the monitor. I was about to head up there but checked in the monitor first. I watched Hadley climb out of bed and into bed with him. She covered him back up with the blanket and started rubbing his back. He instantly fell back asleep and they slept another hour cuddling with each other. These are the moments that make my heart skip a beat. Hadley is just so caring and loves to take care of her brother.
While at Karate one day, Hadley went outside with her water bottle to play with some friends. She came back about 30 minutes later with a bouquet of "flowers" picked especially for me. Sweet girl.
