Visiting Santa

Our plan was to beat the crowds and visit Santa the weekend after Thanksgiving. We thought it surely wouldn't be on everyone's minds. And after last year's visit with the santa at the Devon tower, I knew for sure we wanted to go back there! We had made plans to go with the Robertsons and decided to get there about 30 minutes before it opened in hopes of securing an early time to see him. Thankfully, we were some of the first in line and got to sit on Santa's lap after about 15 minutes. Within minutes, people were told they would have to wait about 3 hours to see Santa.

Some pictures while waiting in line. Cute siblings and best of friends...

Next in line and Santa's "head elf" paid the kids a visit. He told them all about the long trip they had made to get here. He was so loud and entertaining but at one point I was just worried he was going to scare Hudson away!

Getting told, "you're next!" brings some big smiles and jumping up and down.

A Santa success! All smiles and both of the kids spoke up enough for Santa to hear exactly what they wanted. They were all about pictures with Santa and weren't thrilled to have to get off his lap! And can you possibly beat the expressions on Santa's face as the kids told him what they wanted? So precious!

Can't miss out on pictures with the gingerbread man and woman too!

After our pictures with Santa and the gingerbread man and woman, we made it into the craft area where the kids made Santa beards and decorated foam gingerbread houses. We saw Lolly, Pops, and the Scotts as well as the Fares.

The weather was a little windy but warm and wonderful out. We walked around the Pop up shops at the Myriad Gardens and the kids rode the carousel. We ended at the giant red ornaments that are all around the Devon tower.

As we were walking out the building to leave we spotted Santa's sleigh and, of course, we had to take a picture in it.

Lunch at Hideaway Pizza before heading back home. Such a fun morning.
