November pics

November was a pretty busy month as we started gearing up for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Hadley finished up her soccer season on the most brutally cold day of the year so far. Poor girl was absolutely miserable and even said after the game that she didn't ever want to play again. I am sure that will change but I probably would have been thinking the same thing!

Celebrating a little family birthday for Peyton at Chuck E Cheese. The girls saved up enough tickets to pick out a matching toy.

A few pictures of Hudson on his days off with me. He usually goes to a class with me on Mondays where he gets to "work out" as well. The next two pictures are of Hudson's new dress pants and tie. He was so excited and even wanted to wear them to school the next day.

A few pictures around the house...Hudson watching TV with Bentley, Hadley playing school, the kids coming down the stairs together in the morning (Hadley still sleeps barely clothed, even in the winter), and Hadley reading books to Hudson before school.

I helped out as the Art Helper for Hudson's class. It was fun to watch the kids paint and learn how to draw new designs such as zig-zags, circles, and straight lines.

Hadley's end of the season soccer party. We are so thankful for such great coaches. They are so sweet but still strict and great at keeping the girls attention. They got each girl a new soccerball as a year-end surprise. Such a fun night getting trophies and celebrating a great season at Louie's.

Hadley and Daddy all bundled up and headed out to brave the cold.

I took this picture because it made me laugh. We play hide and seek often in our house and, unfortunately, it is hard for me to stay hidden. For some reason Bauer always has to follow me whenever I hide making it easy for the kids to find me!

Hudson had his first show-and-tell at school. Matt and I wondered how he would do getting up in front of his class and talking but his teacher sent me this picture of him doing a great job! He took his favorite batman toy and was more than excited to tell his class all about it. He even told us when he came home that all his friends really liked it and wanted one too. I think, so far, this had to have been his very favorite day at school.

Hudson got a much needed haircut and I took a few pictures of him afterwards. First, right outside the shop, a proud picture in the car, and then a couple at home. You can tell by the last one that he was done with pictures!

Such a pretty Oklahoma sunset...

These pictures were taken before church one morning. Hudson was excited to wear his new tie and they actually wanted to take some pictures together so I took them up on it!

These next three are a few of my favorites. They were being silly and playing on the piano, singing made-up songs as loud as they could. There may not be anything I like more than watching my kids play together and love on each other!

Hudson did a little Christmas shopping with me and we stopped by Uptown Candy for a little treat. What luck that he would look next door and see a stuffed t-rex that he just HAD to have! He had a really hard time understanding why he couldn't get it but was finally ok with it when I took a picture so we wouldn't forget him. Thankfully, Mama was there with us and went back in the store to buy him after we had left. Hudson will be so excited when Mama and Papa give Hudson this dinosaur!

Hadley helped me decorate for Christmas a little but she completely took over setting up the nativity scene. She was even able to tell me the story of Jesus' birth as she did it. Love moments like these.

And the day after Thanksgiving Hadley went with me to work out (which was way more necessary than Black Friday shopping after all the food we had consumed). She is such a fun workout partner for me and loves it as much as I do!

Visiting Santa

Thanksgiving celebrations

Such a fun and busy Thanksgiving. We started out at Mama and Papa's house on Wednesday. Of course, Mama had more than enough food and an entire table of desserts. The girls played school and dance all night while the boys hung out in the living room and wrestled. The adults actually got some time to visit, which seems to rarely happen. We all had a great night and so much to be thankful for!

I love this picture of me and my beautiful girl...

Papa and 4 of his 5 grandkids. Someday we may actually get a picture of all of them together!

Thursday morning we woke up and got ready for another fun day at Lolly and Pop's house. As we walked out the door I asked the kids for a picture. Hadley was all for it but Hudson objected at first. But right before jumping in the car he decided he wanted his picture taken as well...

This is the year that Amy and Kip were with Kips family and Drew and Padgett stayed in Florida so it was a fairly small gathering for the Holloman clan. We had a wonderful dinner prepared by Lolly and this year we were all able to sit at the dining room table together. We each went around the table and stated what we were thankful for. I couldn't have smiled bigger when Hadley said she was thankful for "her mommy, daddy, and Hudson. She said she was thankful for all her friends and that God made her heart."  Hudson said he was thankful for "my mommy, daddy, and sister. And Bauer and Bentley. And also that God made his heart." He is really looking up to Hadley and listens to everything she says. We are pretty thankful she is such a good influence. Dinner was wonderful and after we all had full bellies the kids went out side to play soccer, chase, and burn off some energy. Another great Thanksgiving holiday!
