End of April

After watching the sprinklers run, the kids wanted to go outside and play in the water puddles.

Getting their hands and feet wet and then finding dry pavement to stamp out their handprints and footprints.

Wish I could keep them this size forever.

Living only a could miles from the mall means we travel their often for dinner and energy release. This particular night the mall had some clogging performers and the kids loved watching them. Hudson clapped the entire time.

Another dinner at Chick-fil-A with Tinsley. Hudson and Tinsley are two weeks apart and Hadley absolutely LOVES playing with her!

I saw this shirt at Old Navy and had to buy it. We tried a couple different times to get a picture to send to Papa.

We got Nana's old piano and it fits perfectly in our house! We are trying to decide on painting in an antique white or leaving it in its natural condition so I may be updating with a new picture soon. As for now, the kids love playing the piano together and making up songs.

We had the Robertsons and the Cargills over for dinner and all the kids wanted to have a picnic outside. This went well for about 5 minutes before all the plates got swept up by the wind and Hudson got covered in ketchup. We had a great time all hanging out together and need to make sure and do it more often.

Hadley and Holland decided it was time they had their first sleepover and were thrilled to put on their pajamas and pose for a picture. Unfortunately, right before Laneale made it out the door Holland was in tears and decided she wasn't quite ready to stay away from home yet. Hadley was then devastated and we had two girls in tears. Hadley quickly got over it when I told her she could sleep in our bed instead!

Kristin sent me this picture while I was at work. She taught the kids red light/green light and she said everytime she would yell "red light" Hudson would pause in the pose, put his fist up in the air, and smile so big.

Some more pictures from another t-ball game. Hadley is such a good little player. She hits the ball great, can even field the ball, and just needs to get a little help with learning how to hustle to first base. She spends so much time smiling and looking at where she hit the ball that she forgets she is being raced to first! So far we've gotten lucky and she has just escaped being tagged out.

I love this little series of pictures of Hudson running out to see his sister. She then proceeds to try and teach him how to throw a ball.

These two are becoming great buddies and love hanging out at all the t-ball games together.

Hadley has had such a positive attitude about learning the game of t-ball but these next couple shots capture another side I haven't seen before. She absolutely DID NOT want to play catcher. She hated the face mask and the body protection and threw a fit when she was told she had to wear it. After daddy told her she didn't really have a choice (that everyone is taking a turn at catcher) she reluctantly put it on. However, she turned several times to make sure we saw she was not happy about it and didn't one time bend down to pick up a ball. It's safe to say she may never play catcher again...

Liking her 3rd base position much better!

Dinner at chick-fil-A and this little guy is pretty excited to be sitting at a table by himself with the big girls. Who cares that he wasn't even being included in their conversation?

Brooklyn had a fabulous 5th birthday party where all the girls brought their American Girl dolls over for a tea party. They all had so much fun and enjoyed being little "mommies."

Hadley loves to read! She is always wanting to read books and at night has even moved on from picture books to wanting us to read chapter books to her. She is so sweet to read to Hudson whenever he wants.

We went to the park the other day and Hudson gave me "flowers" for the very first time. As he handed them to me he said, "I of (love) you, Mommy." Totally unprompted and completely melted my heart. He is turning into the sweetest little boy.

One more picture of my Thursday ice cream date. Soon, Hadley will be out of school for the summer, Hudson will still be in mother's day out, and the roles will reverse. Hadley and I will get to go get ice cream before picking Hudson up. I am sure there are many more ice cream pictures to come!
