Hudson's playing soccer again

After last season, we weren't sure Hudson would want to play soccer this fall. He was just so competitive and didn't quite handle other people scoring. However, instead of running for the ball he would often just shut down and give up. He had a couple good games and seemed to always have fun but he also had a few games with tears. So when we asked him if he wanted to play again we weren't sure the answer we would get. But it was an immediate "yes!" He has definitely been much more excited about sports lately and always wants to be outside kicking a ball, shooting baskets, practicing t-ball etc.

The night before the first game was Crossings Homecoming and then he spent the night with Will. We were nervous he would be a little exhausted but he did GREAT! He immediately scored a goal and hustled so much. He understood dribbling a little more and knew how to follow the ball rather than giving it one hard kick. He didn't get upset when he didn't score and gave it his best effort. Turns out we were told after the game that his coach said if he scored a goal we would take him to Toy's R Us....

Since the first game we have had one more and he did just as great...without the toy bribe. He runs hard whenever he is one field and he acts like he loves it. He scored two more goals and assisted on two more. We are going to have a fun time watching him this season!
