Mother Goose Day at school

The kindergarten classes celebrated Mother Goose day at school. Each kid was told to dress up in a simple costume as some type of Mother Goose character and bring a prop. They were then supposed to recite the nursery rhyme they had chosen. My creativeness was put to the test (and at the last minute since we were told only a couple days ahead of time.) I gave Hadley the choice of an old woman (who lived in a shoe) or a mouse (who ran up the clock). She quickly chose a mouse and we got to work. We put together a costume all from Hobby Lobby...It had to be something that she could wear her school uniform underneath and today was denim day. She had her nursery rhyme memorized and she was ready to go! She was so excited, woke up extra early, and could not wait to go to school! It was so fun when her teacher sent me a cute text of Hadley reciting her nursery rhyme.
