May Extras...

May was a busy month! So busy that I found it really hard to even find the time to sit down and work on the blog. I know I will look back on it someday and be so happy I have recorded all these memories so I am trying to stay motivated to make the time. Anyway, here are some pictures of our busy month!

After getting back from the cold weather in Branson we decided to make a park day out of the warm weather here in Okc. Hadley and Hudson somehow had much more energy than me and ran all over the place!

I am guessing we will start seeing lots of the golf course over the next couple months. Hadley is getting so much better at swinging a club and Hudson just tries his hardest..

I know I post too many pictures of cuddles on the couch but I can't get enough and pull out the camera just about every single time. They are just so sweet to each other 90% of the time and love to cuddle the most right before bed.

Hudson HAS to sleep with a million toys every night and it is a long ordeal each night to figure out which toys. Amazingly he doesn't ever wake up throughout the night  no matter how many toys are in his bed with him. He has slept with everything from cars to shovels to kitchen spatulas to books. This particular night he wanted a tub full of cars. So we put all the cars in his bed and he told each one good night. After walking downstairs I turned on the monitor to see he had lined up all his cars in a row before falling asleep.

Hadley went to a birthday party at Paint Your Art Out and it was so much fun. I am pretty impressed with Hadley's painting of her butterfly. Each girl got a canvas with a butterfly drawn on it and they got to pick their paint colors. Hadley came up with her design all by herself and did it all without any help. And with it matching the colors in her room it fits perfectly on her wall!

So proud!

While daddy was doing some yardwork I took the kids to the cul-de-sac across the street to play. Don't worry about the tutu getting stuck in the wheel....nothing will keep her from riding her bike.

Love this little cowboy!

One noise that is just as annoying as nails on a chalkboard....

Hadley is finally big enough and the dogs are finally old enough for her to walk them without her being dragged down the street. It is so cute watching her walk them.

And we play golf in our tutus as well.

The kids were having a really good day so I took them for a little cookie treat. Hadley gladly showed me her pick...

...but Hudson did not want to be in the picture with Elmo.

Hadley likes to pick out Hudson's clothes for him and got really excited when she realized they have matching clothes. I think he was pretty excited seeing as he is her shadow most of the time.

I got to have lunch one last time with Hadley before school was out and it was so fun. I will miss all the 5 year old humor I have heard throughout the year.

Celebrating 4th of July a little early...

My friend, Laura, got a new puppy and brought it over to our house. Hadley and Hudson were in love and we quickly realized Hudson is entirely too young to play with a puppy. He terrorized the poor thing. Looking so sweet here...

...then he started mopping the floor with the dog.

Excited little girl after getting her first out in a tball game. Second base has become her favorite position and the one she is best at.

Abby and Katie came to town and we met them over at Lolly and Pops' house to play. They had a great time running around the yard chasing E and screaming as loud as they could. Even Hudson was able to keep up with the big kids.
A little Simon Says...

These next two pictures are a couple of my favorites. Hudson is the most strong-willed child I have ever seen! He gives us a run for our money and sometimes has us mystified on what to do. This particular night he was so mad about us making him go to bed and he sat right her and said, "no" over and over. He would scream bloody murder if anyone got close to him and his poor eyes were dark red from crying. It breaks my heart when he has these moments because 90% of the time he is so happy and loving. It just has to be on his terms!

An evening ride on the golf course. Hudson and daddy hit some balls and Hadley and I played and rode along in the cart.

Kristin sent me this picture of the kiddos before leaving for the Science Museum. This is actually the day after Hudson threw the fit to go to bed. As you can see, he obviously wasn't too traumatized by the event and Kristin let me know he was so happy the entire day.

Hudson and daddy mowing the yard together...
It is so cute that he wants to be just like his daddy. If Matt has on running shoes, Hudson wants them. If he has on flip flops, Hudson wants flip flops. And typically if Matt has on a tank top, Hudson insists on a "tontop"

Silly girl wanting to show me how high she can jump. I have never met another kid that is NEVER in a bad mood!

Mother's Day Brunch at the Beacon Club. We had one tired kiddo that was NOT wanting his picture taken.

Daddy got Hudson dressed and I think he could not have been more cowboy'd out! He was pretty proud to send me this picture.
