Softball Nationals

I feel like there is just too much to even write on this post! Softball nationals was more fun than I could have ever imagined it being. The kids all had the best time (even the little brothers) and we did much better than I expected. It was so unbelievably hot....like the hottest I have ever been, so we tried to spend all our free time in the pool. I'll recap around a few pictures but hopefully the pics themselves will be enough to bring back memories from here on out.

We arrived in Branson and met at a Mexican restaurant so the girls could be given their Good luck baskets the moms had made. The excitement escalated for the girls at this point!

Hudson helped prep Hadley's towel for the pin trading day. I love how our pins turned out!

Pictures from before the tournament started of swimming, resting, and cooling off.

First day was all about contests, pin trading, and opening night. Hadley competed in the base running relay races.

The next day we had the morning off so we took the kids to Silver Dollar City. We wanted to make sure Hudson had a great time as well and we could make the vacation about him too!

We were exhausted after SDC but starving as well so we stopped by a 50's diner to get something to eat. The waiters all walked around singing songs and the kids thought it was hilarious.

Sleepy kids. I thought this picture was so precious. They each had their own bed and decided to sleep in the same bed anyway.

Boys playing football while the girls played a game...moms getting drinks in between games!

Another hot day ahead! This is at 9am and its already sweltering!

We took the kids to the Alpine Slide and it was so much fun. You ride down on a lit up track and you can control your speed. It was actually pretty scary at night!

Some of the pictures we bought from the tournament photographer.

Just some more hot tournament photos.

And more pool time...

We had a rain delay and ran to Starbucks to kill some time.

Final day of tournament play. What a fun week. The girls played so hard. This was the first time they had played 90 minute games when the most they had ever played was 75. That doesnt seem like much more but when it came to this humid, heat it was drastic!

These are our favorite counselors from Kanakuk Family Kamp, Jacob and Kaitlyn. Its been a year since we have seen them and when I told them we were coming in town they asked to meet us for icecream. They actually live outside Branson now but drove in 45 minutes just to come see us. The kids were so excited!

Time to go home. We decided to make one more stop at a fun amusement park for the kids to play games and ride go-carts before heading home. What an awesome week. We made some memories that will last a lifetime!
