Hadley played basketball again...on two teams again. She was having such a hard time deciding which team to play with so we decided we could make two teams work, just one more year. Unfortunately, the YMCA team ended up being such a hard league for her and the refs let the girls just maul each other so she didn't have the best time. She learned a lot at practice and loved playing with her friends but when you are the second smallest on the team, it made it difficult for her to ever even get a shot up.
She loved playing with her Crossings friends at Santa Fe Life Center though. The league is very controlled and they really focus on making sure the girls are learning the game. They even learned all the positions and plays and Hadley really enjoyed it. She did an awesome job and the team only lost 2 games the entire season.
Above anything, I love that Hadley loves playing basketball at home with her daddy. They will shoot around together and I can hear their laughter from inside. I love to join them outside which typically ends in a game of Gotcha, one of my favorites growing up.
