After leaving Pumpkinville, we quickly came home to get ready for the Rose Creek Halloween party. The kids got dressed with a little time to spare and I took some pictures of them in their matching costumes. Yes, Hadley wore a poodle skirt last year which makes me think she should have grown up in the 50's. Honestly, her best friend, Lottie, wanted to be a pink lady and talked Hadley into doing it as well. As soon as this happened, I started working on Hudson being a T-bird. We watched a few "acceptable" Grease videos but as soon as we got to the party I learned he actually still had no clue what a T-bird was. He kept telling people he was some kind of bird. At least he enjoyed the costume and looked the part pretty well!
The carnival had a petting zoo where we could feed the animals, a photo booth, and all kinds of carnival games. There were food trucks lining the street and a golf cart decorating contest. It was such a fun time and we even went on a hayride which took us to a pumpkin patch in the neighborhood. As of now there is rain in the forecast for Halloween so at least we got some good use of our costumes and plenty of candy just in case!
