Christmas Eve

We had a Christmas Eve spent at home this year (mostly) and it was wonderful. We just got to have time together and doinng things as a family. I bought these sugar cookies from a lady in Edmond and they come with paintable icing. The kids thought it was so fun to decorate their own cookies.

We watched some Christmas movies and played some games. Then we got ready for Christmas Eve service at Faith Bible Church. The service was great and its crazy how much the kids have grown up and how well they do in the sanctuary now.

We got home, put on our Christmas jammies, and put the cookies out for Santa! It was really the perfect day. So relaxing and it allowed us to take in all that we are thankful for,  especially Jesus' birth!

Visiting the North Pole

Sarah heard about this fun "Santas Workshop" in Crossroads mall and we all decided to go after gymnastics. It ended up being so fun. There were several rooms set up as the elves bedroom, workshop, play area, school. The kids thought it was so cool! They wrote letters to Santa, laid in the beds (which we all joked would end up in head lice), and even got to make a spinning top. They got to see some reindeer and sit on Santa and Mrs. Claus' lap. We ended the evening with cookies and milk for all of us. It was such a fun night and so much better than we even anticipated.

School Christmas parties

I took a long lunch today so I would be able to go to the kids Christmas parties. It was a lot of fun to see the new friends each of them have made in just half the year. Hudson is in a class with pretty much all new buddies and he has made some really great friends. We ate Chick-fil-A, cookies, and they sang us a couple Christmas songs. After his party he came with me up to Hadley which started right after. Their class did a Christmas craft, ate some snacks, and I got to watch her with some of her new friends as well. There are two new girls to the school and it made my heart happy to see her including them as if they have been there forever. After the parties I had to head back to work and Sarah Baker offered to take the kids with her to a movie. I am so very thankful for Sarah and how often she helps me out so the kids can have fun! She sent me a pic which shows that several other Crossings students had the idea of a movie as well!

CCS Christmas program

Another wonderful Christmas program... I love watching these sweet kids sing! They both loved taking some pictures with their friends before the show.

This is the only picture I got of Hudson during his program. I was so disappointed they they had him placed behind a couple tall girls and I couldn't see him as well. Matt went up on the balcony and was able to record the entire thing so I think we ended up getting some great video of him.

A few more pictures after Hudsons program and then some of Hadley and her friends before her program.

Hadley was right there in front and so easy for us to see. I love that both kids sing their hearts out and enjoy the Christmas program as much as we do!

Such a sweet night that I always love and remember. I really can't believe Hadley only has 1 more of these programs.
