Thanksgiving week with the Hollomans

We had a fun Thanksgiving week. Drew's family came in for the week and we got to spend lots of time with them. A lot of playdates, a night at Top Golf, swimming at our house, Thanksgiving dinners, and an OSU game. It was a packed week but so much fun!

Lynn organized some family pictures for Jane to take while everyone was in town. The kids had so much fun running around and playing in between pics....

Hadley and Sloan even found their dads old letter jackets and came downstairs wearing them. How cute!

The McCulloughs came over for dessert after Thanksgiving dinner. Hadley always LOVES to see Kinley.

Swimming in November...We had an unusually warm week which made it really fun. We even heated the pool a little bit and the kids were able to swim in the pool (too cold for me but they didn't mind at all!)

Hadley and Hudson have so much fun with their cousins. I wish we could see them all more often but it sure was fun to have an entire week with them!

Football and Friends

Hadley had a birthday party with her friend Claire and we had some extra tickets to the OSU football game. We thought this would be a perfect opportunity for Hudson to get to take some friends to a game for the first time. He picked Beau and Will.

The weather did not work out in our favor and it was FREEZING! But they bundled up and had a blast. They played football forever on the field outside the stadium before the game. They were complete maniacs the majority of the time but actually sat and watched a little of the game. Hudson was probably the most interested in the game but they definitely had a lot of interest in the rolls, ice-cream, candy, and going outside to play some more. We had a great time and it was so fun for Hudson to have a day with his friends. He was in the best mood all day!

Claire's mom sent me some pictures of the girls at the sleepover. Hadley debated on going to the game with us and going to the party late but then decided on going with her friends. I think she made the right decision. She had so much fun with this sweet group of girls!

Hudson's Thanksgiving program

I was pretty disappointed to find out that Hudson wouldn't get to be in a Christmas program this year. I guess our performing arts center was overbooked this year and they had to move stuff around. They decided to have the 1st and 2nd graders do a Thanksgiving program instead. Thankfully, it ended up being so sweet and just as good. Hudson performed as always and I loved seeing his big smile as he was up on stage. He gets just as excited for these nights as we do!

OU Football game

Its not very often we make it to Norman, especially for a football game. We have raised some OSU fans and I don't mind at all because Stillwater is so much fun on game days. However, when my Theta friends called to organize a tailgate party for an OU game I was really excited to take the kids. Hudson had a soccer game so Matt stayed with him and they came afterwards. Hadley was excited to come with me and meet all my friends kids. She knew she was going to be the oldest and was more than ready to help entertain!

Those of us that could go early met at the Mont for appetizers and swirls. We spent many nights in the "blue room" in college so we were flooded with memories while sitting there telling stories.

Those of us with girls left the Mont to take our girls to the Theta house. Hadley has been outside before but never inside. She was pretty amazed at how big it was. She loved seeing all the rooms I stayed in and our big study hall.

While I went to find a parking spot, Hadley rode with a couple girls to head back to the stadium. They rode with one of the guys that pulls you on his bike. She thought it was so fun.

Some pictures from the tailgate. We had more than enough food and lots of fun! The kids loved playing together and acted like they had known each other forever. I had the best time seeing friends I hadn't seen in a couple years. Made me realize how much I miss these girls! Hoping we can make this an annual tradition. And I have to give some credit to Matt. He was so supportive and didn't even mind being in Norman too much!

Soul de Soul for Hadley, OSU football for Hudson

Hadley had a dance convention weekend and it worked out great that OSU had a home game as well. It worked out great. I spent the weekend with Hadley watching her dance and they boys had a fun OSU weekend. Hudson even got to hang out with his buddies at the game. I love watching Hadley dance. Conventions are definitely not her favorite and she loves competitions much more but she still has fun with her friends and gains lots of confidence each time. She has the best attitude and does not give up. She is appreciative of me being there and always says it was so much fun.

Matt didn't pull through with a lot of pictures but I sure love the one he did get! Cute boys. Hudson told me he had the best time at the game with his daddy. He even came home with a few more OSU clothing items....no surprise!
