First circus experience

Matt's coming home today after 5 days of being in Florida with his brother and I can't wait. I have had such an awesome time with the kids and they could not have been better for me but I'm just excited to see him again. The kids have gotten along great, played well together, and been such big helpers for me. Last night I decided to reward them with a trip to the circus. We have never been before and I knew Hudson would love it with his animal obsession right now. Papa, Buck, and Gunner went with us and it was quite a trip. Hadley was a complete dream. She helped with the boys, sat so well in her seat while they were maniacs, and never complained once. The kids all got to ride the elephants and they each picked out a toy when it was time to go. Although it was fun, I think it will probably be our last circus. Ha! It definitely didn't live up to my expectations and the kids ended up getting a little bored. Buck and Gunner fell asleep and Hudson was the only one of us left that was enjoying every minute! It really was a fun afternoon, a great way to end daddy's last day of vacation,  and the kids seemed to have a great time. Now we are ready for Daddy to get back home!

Encore Dance competition and Hudsons first OU experience

Matt left town Wednesday to go to Tampa for a golf tournament with Drew. We were so excited for him to have some time with his brother and for him to get to play some golf but we sure did miss him. And it was a busy week on top of that. Hadley had her dance competition with Encore and they did awesome! They have gotten pretty close to perfecting this dance. It was early Saturday morning so Hudson stayed home with Mama and Papa so they could take him to his soccer game and I could get hadley to MWC. Papa said Hudson played awesome in his game and scored 4 goals! He has gotten so fast which has made a huge difference this year. After Hadley's dance we packed up to head back home. Hadley asked if Lottie could come with us, so we got in the car, picked up lunch, and picked up Hudson at Mama and Papa's house. When we got to their house Bart called and asked if Hudson could go to the red and white (OU) scrimmage with them and Hudson was so excited. We grabbed the only red shirt he owns and Bart was at our house to pick him up about 15 minutes later. He had such a great time watching the game, riding in a trolley, eating donuts, and taking a picture with the basketball coach. And I'm thankful for awesome friends that help out while Matt's out of town! I loved getting to spend the afternoon with Hadley and Lottie (and later just Hadley) doing girl stuff!

Hudson's first t-ball game

The day has finally come for Hudson's first t-ball game and he was so excited. He had school today so while he was at school I got his uniform all laid out and ready for him. How cute is this uniform?

He came home and could hardly wait to put it on. Since Daddy was out of town (and super upset to miss the first game) we had to take lots of pictures to send him. But I also realize I probably would have taken just as many pictures if he HAD been in town!

Love these serious face pics because all you have to do is look at Hudson and a big smile pops across his face. These were his idea and they turned out to be pretty difficult for him!

That's more like it...

Warming up with Hadley before the game. She was so cute to give him pointers... and he actually was accepting of them.

Game time. This was as precious as I had pictured it. Little boys in t-ball uniforms can't be beat! They had no idea what they were doing but had a blast doing it. Hudson was all smiles!! He could hardly wait to hit the ball and was so excited when he did. He ran his heart out and smiled ear to ear at me, Hadley, Mama, and Papa when he crossed home plate. He played left field in one of the innings and I couldn't help but laugh when he "practiced catching" by throwing his glove up in the air over and over. I guess it gets a little boring when none of the balls are hit at you. But he didn't complain and I take that as a huge plus!

A thumbs up for his first t-ball game. I would say those are some tired eyes but he wanted me to text a picture to daddy telling him how much fun he had. I know it sure is hard for Daddy to have to miss! Hudson's got such a great group of school friends and I can't wait to see them play the rest of the season.
